Cant twll from video as the frame rate has been edoted...

These sped up videos are really annoying, really throws you off when trying to assess a bowler. Whaddya think Chief destroyer ?

Can't say much from the video. He looks tall and if he can swing it with decent control then he may be worth keeping an eye on

So this is the guy who came in for Shaheen Shah for this round. Doesn't look bad at all.

Played in first edition of LQ Rising Stars tournament and he was not this quick.

Video in OP has been sped up beyond recognition.

It's difficult to tell - this round there is another kid bowling - Ahmed Safi Abdullah; apparently 19 & he debuted 3 years back with a bang!!!!

Then I see an all-rounder with impressive FC stats - Bilawal Iqbal, though officially 28+.

And a batsman - Rizwan Hasan, without birth date .....

Unless, PCB arranges lots of A tours, it's difficult to identify players, because QEA stats are not reliable. This was a great opportunity to arrange few 4 day matches with BCB development squad, BD A team, sadly ........

He's a district level bowler. Only reason players like him can play FC is because of the green wickets. And no team serves up greener wickets than KRL.

i think the same..we will produce thundlers like him.. i think sadaf hussain was one of them as well..

to me he is nothing special,,,

If he is making his FC debut at 20 he is probably nothing special.

I would have played first class cricket , had I was in Pakistan now-a-days, as a fast bowler. I was better than this bowler but there were dozens of better fast bowler than me in Lahore's club cricket then.

Height isn't bad and action looks good.

But from the videos he looks too slow and from the OP video the batsmen are terrible. These techniques need to be worked on!

Why is that ? Looks decent to me in the video in the opening post (good height, decent action, good lengths) but video is sped up so can’t really assess the pace.

This is the pitch that PTV made 37 all out on. :(

Where is the pitch?

I remember bowling on a wicket like this in islamabad in my school days lol. Essentially what happened was we had a school match but the night before some idiots sabotaged the main pitch by driving their car all over it. Hence we had to roll the under prepared pitch next to it. I was bowling around corners and even hit a few of the opposition players. All you had to do was get that seam in a good position and boom.

you forgot to mention the most important bit.. you were bowling gentle off spin... :)

(joking of course).

The video above tells me two things that I already knew.
1. The pitches are horrible.
2. The batsmen are equally horrible.

The 2nd point isn't batsman's fault actually. If you put even Gavaskar or Boycott on wickets where are score is like 151, I am sure they'll also start to slog around and collect something on the board. It's a lottery out there to survive.

I appreciate that the video footage is only of the wickets. For all we know they could have been playing with a straight bat for several overs and then decided to slog out.

Having said that, to see some of the shots played is a cardinal sin. Not only do they display a bad technique, a player in firstclass cricket should not be playing like that irrespective of what the ball is doing. You can excuse a complete tailend bunny but even then you would expect them to apply themselves.

This is not the first video, we've had videos going back several years and in that time only a handful of batsmen have looked like they have a good technique.

Then, you have to go back to Imran - at the highest level, there shouldn't be more than 6-8 teams. There can be a 2nd tier with 20+ teams, but the top tier should be for top, top 100 players.

I'm well up for that!

Absolutely. It looks quite obvious that the ball was rearing up from a good length. So much so that the batsman were obviously trying to survive and then just decided to slog to get some runs.

Very good speed Looks like he can maintain 135+ speed in longer format which is very good

He is selected for Pakiatan A team for a reason. Don't think he is a district level bowler

He didnt do that bad either in first match

Making his debut today for Multan Sultans

Currently in US, playing in Washington cricket league. In his first game he ended with figures of 4-12-3

FATA started the day at 127-4. They got to 214, before being bowled out by the Imran Butt-led side. A five-wicket-haul by Ali Shafiq was crucial to the Blues’ performance in the innings.

A FC bowling average of 18 at economy rate of 2.92.

Right arm tall pacer who seams the ball sharply. Seems like a perfect inclusion for the Aus test series.

But no one ever talks about him?
