just watching the video above and he looks like he's got something about him but needs a bit more work. Is it me or is the action just very very slightly jerky? To those who understand fast bowling how repeatable do you think his action is? I just feel he lost his action a bit there hence why he was a bit wayward..

Ehtisham dragging the ball towards his left is directly related to the lack of rotation of his right hip forward. The base stays stationary hence the body falls to the side and drags the ball with it. He's gotta go forward with his legs.

Falls away towards his left side which means he doesn't get the proper momentum from his run-up. If he can fix that he will automatically be a lot quicker and more accurate. At the moment he is nothing special, if he can fix that he can be a terrific bowler.

Sorting out a minor technical issue does not make a bowler go from "nothing special" to a "terrific bowler" (your own words). Think about it the other way, a bowler can be perfect technically but still lack talent. The talent is intrinsic, it doesn't suddenly appear. Obviously a bowler can improve with technical adjustments, but if there is nothing to work with to begin with then what?

He is a special talent. If you can't see that then so be it.

I like his bowling. He can swing the ball both ways and at decent pace. You rarely find someone with this capability.

Overall good bowler, has the required skill set but needs to be polished.

Some of those deliveries would cause international level batsmen problems but in saying that some of those deliveries would also get hammered in international cricket.

He bowled a bit short with the new ball, needs to pitch it up further. Umar Gul did this whole career, hopefully this kid can learn quickly, otherwise looked decent.

Well if it's Aqib's recommendation, I'm having serious doubts. Anyways doesn't look special. Certainly not in the least like Asif. His line and length is all over the pitch. How can he be compared to Asif? Also I think some of his deliveries are with a dodgy action. Needs to get his action checked.

tbh he is nothing like Asif.. bad comparison by Aqib. both are different kind of bowlers.

That said, his two deliveries to Nisar Afridi show he is still having trouble bowling to left-handers.
