I think foreign coaches now should make him feel that he do lack skills.

Virender Sehwag, in an interview with a YouTube program, spoke highly of Azam Khan:
"No, I don't think it's a criticism. He performs better in wicket-keeping and in batting, he has played many innings, especially in the PSL, that prove he has the talent and ability."
"When I look at a player, I don't focus on how fit they are, but whether they can perform and win matches. If I say a player with a six-pack has good fitness but isn't performing, then what's the use of it? Prioritizing fitness is secondary; performance comes first, talent comes first, and that should be reflected in the work you do."

Desert Vipers Head Coach James Foster is confident that talented Pakistani batter Azam Khan will deliver match-winning performances in upcoming matches, as he mentioned on the Vipers Voices podcast:
"Sometimes it happens in a season that not every single player fires, but I have confidence in Azam. He is an absolute star, and I admire him a lot for how destructive he is with the bat.
"He is a match-winner, and I know he is a player that opposition bowlers and teams fear. It’s just about reminding himself of how good he is. He’s a very good player.
"He just needs to trust and remember his mindset, his game plan, and continue to bring that belief, which is what top players do. He just needs that little bit of luck to go his way.
"And as it has turned out, because our top four or five batters have done so well, he hasn’t had many opportunities to bat. But he is always smiling, brings his energy, and we’re looking forward to Azam hopefully doing his thing.
