[VIDEOS] Humble pie thread for those who doubted Mohammad Rizwan

I wish not to spoil the party of those who are die hard fanatics of Mohammad Rizwan.

But it seems that you cannot enjoy this party without tagging me. Therefore I am going to spit some cold, hard facts for you to digest.

The die hard Junoonis of Mohammad Rizwan are today celebrating the fact that the man has graduated from having no ability whatsoever to producing pointless, meaningless runs (with the odd exception).
No one is being a diehard fan of rizwan here.

Diehard fans used to be of afridi, younis, misbah who would defend everything about their favourites(yes me aswell).

Rizwan has fans based on what he has done as a player and the praise he gets is based on that performance.

Offcourse posters will tag and mock you if he keep on making posts where you would say rizwan is not good enough or some other player should take this award instead of him. That shows that its not people who are die hard supporters but its you who is a blind critic.

If you want to critisize a player, do it, no one stops anyone. But once that player proces you wrong, to still go on to critisize only makes you look bad and foolish and no one else.
People are not celebrating only Rizwan, they are celebrating Pakistans achievement. Those pointles runs you talk about is what led us to winning against india and breaking the streak.

A small portion of giving out the award depends upon fan votes. Icc started a voting for all awards. We all know the large presence of indians on thr internet, thus even many of them also voted for Rizwan due to his performances.

Scoring that many amount of runs is not easy.

At the end of the day, you can call Rizwan all you want, but now he has an ICC award of t20 cricketer of the year. When icc has decided any other opinion others might have would be irrelevent.

Stop blindly hating on him and just move on. You irked by the fact that posters tag you on Rizwans achievement threads. If you keep continuing on making such posts people will keep on tagging you and its you who is bothered by it

If anyone hates someone as genuinely decent and nice as Mohammad Rizwan even now it speaks volumes about what kind of person they are themselves.

Oh yeah as if anyone has personally attacked M Rizwan? Where do you get these thoughts from? It’s a cricket forum and the criticism is always on cricket.

It is not though is it? Man averages 45+ in SENA in Tests

Has broken all known records in T20 and T20i cricket

Has scored against all the best teams in the world.

Stop lying to yourself and everyone else, your hate is beyond cricket ability

Its one thing to critisize but to complain that people are taggin me and bothering me with rizwan achievements, well what do such posters expect?

There are many aenior posters on this forum who were against rizwan and after this years performence, those posters admitted they were wrong and moved on.

The problem is some of us cant admit we are wrong and we sit at home waiting that the particular player of Pakistan gets out so that we can celebrate and say I told you so

I reiterate. If you want to celebrate this meaningless accolade of T20 player of the year based on scores against Zimbabwe, West Indies C and South Africa C, And England B, by all means go ahead and enjoy it.

Don’t tag me, I have no problems in serving reality checks to spoil your party.

Rizwan is inspiring the next generation of Pakistani players with his playing feats and general conduct.

He is one of the few tier 1 players we have and should be appreciated.

I hope he continues to serve Pakistan for many years to come.

If you are going to call this meaningless, even knowing that fact that india, nz and afg played their full fledged t20 teams in world t20, England team played a good team with saqib mehmood. SA is the team that defeated india, than offcourse posters will tag you.

Again, you dont even understand the point. The guy wins an icc award, you call his innings pointless are so heabily misinformed and yet complain people are tagging me and btohering me. With such opinion whats do you even expect?

It is MEANINGLESS. He makes no difference whatsoever. He is scoring the runs Ahmad Shahzad or any other similar batsman would in good form. People like him because Pakistan isn’t a threatening side with players who can really hurt you. Rizwan is the harmless loveable guy who everyone roots for, by all means go ahead and root for him.

Jason Roy, he is someone you fear!
David Warner is someone you fear!
Quinton De Qock is someone who can hurt you!
Rohit Sharma is a player who will destroy you once he is set!

These are legit batsmen who can hurt you regardless of the quality of your attack. Unlike Rizwan who will score 30 off 30 (setting the tone for the bowling side) and then 50 off 40 and then 70 off 50.

A lot is lost during that initial 30 off 30 and you only realise it afterwards when your team is 20 short, like they were against Australia in the semis!

No sorry that’s Babar.

and yet when Rizwan was destroying India you couldnt hide your emotions. The thread is still there in the commentary archives.

he has an ICC award now which proves he is the best of 2021

Both Rizwan and Babar are crap for T20i’s and that’s the plain truth that no one is willing to accept.

Bring back Sharjeel, Pakistan’s Rohit Sharma.

Don’t bring India into this. A World Cup match against India is national duty, like going to war. On that day, no personal favourites matter to me. Well done to Rizwan, Babar, Rauf, Shaheen, Shadab for stepping up that day and contributing for the historic win. Well done to Hassan Ali for getting SKY who could have hurt us a lot that day as well.

No he's not Pakistan's Rohit Sharma, he's our Don Bradman. Put some respect to his name

I'm sure Rizwan's match winning innings against multiple top tier teams won't surpass Sharjeel's average of 22 with a SR of 133 :))):)))

Straight up Haqeeqat.

No sorry that’s Babar.

I saw an interview of a U19 player after the match against Afghanistan and he cited Rizwan as his idol. The player may have been Maaz.

The fact is that Rizwan has dominated international attacks, earning plaudits from peers and pundits.

You comparing him to players like Ahmed Shezad shows how criminally you underrate him.

I hope this is sarcasm but I am unsure because I have seen some posters make this argument lol

The highest total that tournament at the ground. If you want to blame anyone blame Hasan Ali. We had that match won

It was the highest total at the ground because of Fakhar Zaman’s onslaught at the end, not because of Rizwan’s accumulation of 70.

This is why I feel Rizwan fans cannot appreciate anyone else but him! Throw Hassan Ali under the bus, ignore Fakhar Zaman’s counter attack on Starc etc.

Shows his cricketing IQ. No need to discuss. If someone thinks shehzad can get a similar record.

another great performance with the bat by Rizwan in a very crunch game. It looks like Rizwan is the most reliable Pakistani batsman than even Baber. Going into world cup I believe Rizwan is going to be our mvp in the batting department. If he performs than Pakistan has a good chance.

He should have been out for 10

That’s ok. Celebrate this. I’ve seen and proved what I must

Rizwan has done really well this year and deserves a place in the team.
One of the few players in the Pakistan lineup who's decent against spin. Additionally, he's rotates strike well which is a trick we missed yesterday.

Rizwan has proved once again that he is the first choice wicket keeper batsman right now in pakistan. Excellent innings under pressure. His form will be vital for our middle order in this upcoming World Cup

I don’t get the overhate on Rizwan, people are going on likes he’s been averaging 10 for the last year or something. Yes he is not on the calibre of Kohli , Stokes etc but he’s still one of our best performers. It gets frustrating when you see his limitations on display but he’s a gritty batsman and plays well under pressure. He needs to be a bit tighter under quality fast bowling and use his feet better against spinners. He doesn’t have that advanced down the ground shout against spinners , he always tries to sweep them as a release shot but his balance at times is all over the place

Just a side note , that pickup shot for six against the fast bowlers is a delight to watch

He played a great innings under pressure
His form is vital for upcoming world cup

Every day rizwan fails his fans eat pie
Every day rizwan succeeds his haters eat pie
Every day Sarfaraz eats pie.

Everyone's getting pie.
