You have lost the plot (not that you had one to begin with). It was ONE game and your still doing bhangra about that. And so he should.
Because he exposed the lie that was being sold by the RizBar fandom and PR of no talent waiting in the domestics. Why does he get so much hate?
Seems like a hard working and honest cricketer.
Now you are telling me he owned Bumrah in one game? What’s the plot you haven’t lost? You have lost the plot (not that you had one to begin with). It was ONE game and your still doing bhangra about that.
A special documentary on Sahibzada Farhan’s performance against India with mighty sritike rate of 116.
Honestly how can they are so delusional after losing three consecutive matches against India.
What else can be expected from a nation that just keeps on celebrating fake victory and mediocrity
They should renamed Pakistan as meme nation.

for a batter who's had to put in hard yards for 7 years in domestic after his international debut to finally regain his spot in the team is an encouraging thing IMO. He may not be a very intelligent or optic savvy person but should commend him for enormous improvement in his game.Has a very high opinion of himself
Can't remember what game it was in the Asia cup but we lost and I believe the guy posted a video montage of his innings on his Twitter or Insta. And it wasnt even that good of a innings.
Some of these guys can't read the room.
Why are you pleading with a proven Indian/Godi media pr agent because you don’t like Farhan? Please.dont generalise whole of Pakistan fans with a nutcase

You hyped tullebaaz Asif Ali based on two sixes against buvi in Asia cup 2018 all though Pakistan lost the match by 9 Wickets . After those Two sixes you recommended him to captain Pakistan team. This is how you clueless about cricketNow you are telling me he owned Bumrah in one game? What’s the plot you haven’t lost?

No, why are you talking to him like everyone who supports Farhan is a traitor or deluded Pakistani…but you are the true voice of Pakistan?Don't take cricket discussion to other way,
I agree, the first game was reminiscent of Babar owning the USA bowlers. You mean the 40 he scored from 44 in the first game against india or the 128 Sr in the second game against India?
Yeah great ownage by farhan

What will I achieve by proving it to you? Will you nominate me for the Sitara-E-Imtiaz?Don't deflect now. Tell me how he "owned" bumrah besides that one game.
Hitting a couple of sixes as compared to completely dominate your premier bowler to fly off is two different things. For @Rana hitting couple of sixes is enough to labelled any player World beater. Doesn't matter how they scored or what was the team performance in same match

Too many dot ballsSahibzada Farhan scored a blistering 63 off 41 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes, before falling to Sikandar Raza.

The best thing about this is, Farhan is desperate to play Test cricket. Unlike Babar, Rauf or Shadab who will do anything to avoid it!Lets try Sahibzada in tests in Pakistan.
Shadab has played FC recently at least, unlike Babar and Rauf. The best thing about this is, Farhan is desperate to play Test cricket. Unlike Babar, Rauf or Shadab who will do anything to avoid it!
I think he should play in his natural aggressive way in Test as well where there will be tracks that will challenge his technique/footworkOutside of Pakistan it will probably be difficult for him
They need trolls help to prove that Babar's took took cricket is needed to succeedWhy are you pleading with a proven Indian/Godi media pr agent because you don’t like Farhan?

Yeh kya hua??
Babar Azam ke Propaganda Mouthpieces ne…
Babar Azam per hi hamla karna shuru Kar diya??
He tweeted this after Babar scored his 74.Don't really follow such people. But maybe he wasn't a Babar propagandist and was just giving his opinions like he is now.
Anyways he should've waited for the tweet as Babar responded with a 74 scored at 140+ strike rate
He tweeted this after Babar scored his 74.
This was the truth of his innings. It was backwas. Everyone could see it. No one buying his 140sr statpadding nonsense anymore. Especially when the guy at the other end was going hard at every ball and showing how T20 cricket should be played.
Because it is babar... it is always statpadding when it comes to babar... If you know...you knowI think he tweeted while Babar was batting and not till the end of innings. Babar went on to score 46 from his last 22 balls. How is that statpadding?

What? No opener who has played atleast 30 matches averages more than him in FC. 44@ 62 after playing 63 matches. That's a brilliant record for a domestic opener.Astonishing PPers recommending Farhan to open in Test cricket based on two 50s in a random T20 against mighty Zimbabwe and Srilanka, then we blame our selectors that they pick players based on wrong formats
He could have sent out a tweet afterwards to clarify or whatever.
Do you purposely behave like a child? What’s wrong with you? Then you end up making stupid claims like 6x4 in super over in these stubborn arguments. So Noman’s assessment is wrong because he spoke too soon according to you now?

They bump this thread when Farhan does well, and they bump my thread when Farhan does bad![]()
It was a big deal when our premier batter is failing badly.. We had to discuss it... Should we ignore everything>???They were so fixated about his performances on slow, substandard pitches in the BPL.
From memory I remember @BouncerGuy and @Raja Ishtiaq were making a big deal about this. As expected this was always going to backfire. But no problem keep your takes coming and show everyone how foolish you really are.

You would think Farhan has just scored a century at the Gabba when you read these posts
Archer not bowling at his stumps is the weirdest stuff I ever saw.he wasn't comfortable against high pace or incoming deliveries. But archer didn't even bothered to bowl a straight delivery at his stumps or his body like pandya. He can be a good addition in sub continent only.
Look at the comments at the start of this thread that's why we should write off young players too early.![]()
nobody is saying he's an all time great but after being called some things he was as a young batsman its not a bad achievement to be top scorer in a world cup is it.This is a personal choice but I can never rate him as a good player. The tides are in his favor but he's not the earth shattering, barn storming, prodigal son that many are making him to be. It's more of our "qahat ul rijaal" (shortage of quality candidates) at display.

Very harsh analysis he will be inconsistent in the future but to be top scorer in a world cup at a good strike rate and blame him for a one failure against India is not on.... Which other batsmen had a strike rate like him? Against England he was fine 63 of 44 he hit out the best his ability allowed him too even though he wasn't timing everything. Against Sri Lanka he supported Fakhar well it was a 210 wicket. The hype & trash cycle that our cricket fans go through is natural as Pak is pretty much a one sport country & that sport is also not delivering much.
Is top scoring in the world cup an achievement? Yes, a great personal achievement.
Did he stand up when it really mattered? No. (A duck against India and a slow century against Sri Lanka - Reference: Shanaka innings from opponents & Fakhars innings from a teammate were both better in terms of impact)
Does he have the game changing impact like other openers or other batters displayed in the WC? No. We lost two games & both were based on individual performances (one of them was an opener, & the other came out to bat at 3)
He tries muscles the ball when attempting hard hits and has a strike rate that is still in the 130s as his hit accuracy isn't high. There's often a lack of flow to his innings with many dot balls & slog attempts & he's also not proven himself in more difficult conditions to bat.
Wait for some time (another few years) and see how comments change against him again (hope not, want him to succeed).
Bottom tier for a reason. Always ends up with egg on his face. This is probably the third time I’ve seen it. First, it was “Faheem > Pandya” and more recently he’s done a u turn on his blind following of Babar and he’s made to eat his words again over the batting credentials of Pakistan’s best T20 batter.
I couldn’t help but notice you went back and found a post of mine from five years ago—perhaps a testament to just how bored you must be feeling at the moment!
He can be a good ODI batsman, as he sometimes needs time to settle in and has the big shots. Perfect for ODI, along with Saim & Imam he should be given a go before the WC.

Will be interesting to see his approach in odiHe has already cemented his spot in t20s. ODI debut is on soon... I think he has done fine in longer formats as well.. Should get a test call as well..

You are right
But in reality he was the best we got
Compare to other players how trash they have been
We need to have more of batsman like himI wish him luck and hope he turns out to be a good player. My personal opinion won't change after this performance of his but then it's just an opinion and really doesn't mean much.
If the best we have is not necessarily the person we need, then our cricket will continue to crash and burn. My posts are not against him or to dull his achievements, it's just that for the rut that we are in cannot be escaped if this is all we have.
We need to have more of batsman like him
Otherwise cricket will continue to go down
Great post. As I said washed up fakhar out played him. Farhan has performed well and credit to him. He bigger tests are how he does outside SC. He was abysmal the last time he played. I have always said he's a limited batter and unfortunately not much has changed even after having a stellar WC.The hype & trash cycle that our cricket fans go through is natural as Pak is pretty much a one sport country & that sport is also not delivering much.

Yeah... He performed well in red ball domestic and right now, we have slots open also...I think he will get his Test debut in England. BazzBall will come hard on flat decks and I don’t mind him being used as our opener to go hard on decks like Oval and possibly Lords Day 1-2. Pakistan have to play in August where the weather will most likely be warm so it won’t be the traditional swing and seam conditions. Not that we have technically sound players/openers for those conditions anyways.
If u consider existing or upcoming explosive options too, he is no where. This is where I have a slightly additional opinion.
Now fans want him to be an all time great that's not happening but his strike rate of 160 here is much better than the previous openers strike rates of 110. Previous openers couldn't even score in the powerplay against Namibia and Zimbabwe...... So they moved Babar to number 4 where he made a run a ball 25 against England on a 180 wicket as a senior experienced batsman. If u consider existing or upcoming explosive options too, he is no where.
Tim David, stubbs, miller, pandya, Pooran etc are brutal ones and they dont settle for singles at 99 harming the own team's chances. Even the bethel innings shows how far Farhan is away from the modern standards wise.Few anti babar fans are hyping him so that babar wont make a comeback.Fact is that farhan is better among them but the worst of the other international openers/hitters.
