Can't remember what game it was in the Asia cup but we lost and I believe the guy posted a video montage of his innings on his Twitter or Insta. And it wasnt even that good of a innings.

for a batter who's had to put in hard yards for 7 years in domestic after his international debut to finally regain his spot in the team is an encouraging thing IMO. He may not be a very intelligent or optic savvy person but should commend him for enormous improvement in his game.

Shadab has played FC recently at least, unlike Babar and Rauf.

Farhan could be effective in Pakistan for some quickish runs before the ball becomes more suited to spinners. Outside of Pakistan it will probably be difficult for him.

What? No opener who has played atleast 30 matches averages more than him in FC. 44@ 62 after playing 63 matches. That's a brilliant record for a domestic opener.

Sahibzada Farhan: Naturally, when you win two matches and stay at the top of the table, confidence is high. It’s not like we haven’t played against them [India] before. This time, we will play with a slightly different mindset. As you saw in the Asia Cup, our middle order was struggling a bit, but now you can see improvement—Shadab and Nawaz are both contributing runs. Insha'Allah (God willing), it will be an exciting match for everyone.

Question: You effectively finished the game in the power play with big hits. What needs to be done in the middle overs, and are you looking to emulate any global batsmen in terms of hitting sixes?

Sahibzada Farhan: As an opener, you have to play the powerplay this way because that is the demand of T20 cricket. If you utilize the power play well, the other team loses momentum. Saim and I have the same role: if even one of us uses the power play effectively, the game becomes one-sided. We aim for 60+ runs; we did that in the first match and finished with 50 today. Sometimes I consult Babar [Azam] bhai on how to carry an inning deep. Insha'Allah, next time I will try to convert a 70 into an 80, and an 80 into a 90.

Question: The next match is against India. Since the Asia Cup, people say India-Pakistan is no longer a contest and has become one-sided. Do you have a message for India?

Sahibzada Farhan: I don’t think so. In the last Asia Cup, it wasn't a one-sided match; we fought until the end. You would have seen that the boys were fighting hard. We haven't played a one-sided game yet, and Insha'Allah, this time too, it will be a strong, competitive match.

Question: You’ve played well against India before, specifically against Bumrah in the Asia Cup. How does that set you up for Sunday?

Sahibzada Farhan: When you score runs, you gain confidence. I am confident because my last two innings have gone very well. At the end of the day, it’s just a match. We shouldn't let the pressure of "India vs. Pakistan" get to our heads. We will play it just like a normal match.
