[VIDEOS] "I feel I am ready for international cricket" : Sahibzada Farhan

A special documentary on Sahibzada Farhan’s performance against India with mighty sritike rate of 116.

Honestly how can they are so delusional after losing three consecutive matches against India.

What else can be expected from a nation that just keeps on celebrating fake victory and mediocrity

They should renamed Pakistan as meme nation.

:klopp :kp

Why does he get so much hate?
Seems like a hard working and honest cricketer.
Because he exposed the lie that was being sold by the RizBar fandom and PR of no talent waiting in the domestics.

He exposed the fact that Pakistan does have proper T20 players whilst Babar and Rizwan were and are a scam.

This hurts, especially in a nation where scams are kings and queens.

:ROFLMAO: You have lost the plot (not that you had one to begin with). It was ONE game and your still doing bhangra about that.
Now you are telling me he owned Bumrah in one game? What’s the plot you haven’t lost?

Please.dont generalise whole of Pakistan fans with a nutcase

Has a very high opinion of himself

Can't remember what game it was in the Asia cup but we lost and I believe the guy posted a video montage of his innings on his Twitter or Insta. And it wasnt even that good of a innings.

Some of these guys can't read the room.
for a batter who's had to put in hard yards for 7 years in domestic after his international debut to finally regain his spot in the team is an encouraging thing IMO. He may not be a very intelligent or optic savvy person but should commend him for enormous improvement in his game.

You mean the 40 he scored from 44 in the first game against india or the 128 Sr in the second game against India?

Yeah great ownage by farhan
:salute

You hyped tullebaaz Asif Ali based on two sixes against buvi in Asia cup 2018 all though Pakistan lost the match by 9 Wickets . After those Two sixes you recommended him to captain Pakistan team. This is how you clueless about cricket 🤡🤡🤡🤡

You'll never learn. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I agree, the first game was reminiscent of Babar owning the USA bowlers.

For @Rana hitting couple of sixes is enough to labelled any player World beater. Doesn't matter how they scored or what was the team performance in same match

Hitting a couple of sixes as compared to completely dominate your premier bowler to fly off is two different things.

Sahibzada Farhan scored a blistering 63 off 41 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes, before falling to Sikandar Raza.

The best thing about this is, Farhan is desperate to play Test cricket. Unlike Babar, Rauf or Shadab who will do anything to avoid it!
Shadab has played FC recently at least, unlike Babar and Rauf.

Farhan could be effective in Pakistan for some quickish runs before the ball becomes more suited to spinners. Outside of Pakistan it will probably be difficult for him.

I think he should play in his natural aggressive way in Test as well where there will be tracks that will challenge his technique/footwork

It’s better than just sitting and waiting for one to hit your pads or an outside edge to slips because that’s what generally happens to Abdullah/Imam etc

Why are you pleading with a proven Indian/Godi media pr agent because you don’t like Farhan?
They need trolls help to prove that Babar's took took cricket is needed to succeed:D in a "T20" - Babar fans think that T is for test.

Don't really follow such people. But maybe he wasn't a Babar propagandist and was just giving his opinions like he is now.

Anyways he should've waited for the tweet as Babar responded with a 74 scored at 140+ strike rate
He tweeted this after Babar scored his 74.

This was the truth of his innings. It was backwas. Everyone could see it. No one buying his 140sr statpadding nonsense anymore. Especially when the guy at the other end was going hard at every ball and showing how T20 cricket should be played.

Yeah bakwas inning was what Saim played, bakwas was when Salman once again came out to bat ahead of Fakhar... This is the real bakwas.... Keep crying folks...

Farhan and Saim opened in 2025, yet the runrate in powerplay was aroud 7.3

This is the real bakwas...

I think he tweeted while Babar was batting and not till the end of innings. Babar went on to score 46 from his last 22 balls. How is that statpadding?

Because it is babar... it is always statpadding when it comes to babar... If you know...you know

He could have sent out a tweet afterwards to clarify or whatever.

Do you purposely behave like a child? What’s wrong with you? Then you end up making stupid claims like 6x4 in super over in these stubborn arguments. So Noman’s assessment is wrong because he spoke too soon according to you now?

Astonishing PPers recommending Farhan to open in Test cricket based on two 50s in a random T20 against mighty Zimbabwe and Srilanka, then we blame our selectors that they pick players based on wrong formats

What? No opener who has played atleast 30 matches averages more than him in FC. 44@ 62 after playing 63 matches. That's a brilliant record for a domestic opener.

Based on his FC record, he should 100% be tried in home tests.

As I said, I don't follow him. Have little knowledge of who he is or who he supports. But clearly from the comments on his tweet people seem to be laughing at him that he spoke too soon

Sahibzada Farhan brings up his fifty in just 27 balls!

His 9th international fifty, featuring four classy fours and four massive sixes.

Sahibzada Farhan | Player of the Match against USA:

"The way we practiced yesterday, the ball was coming onto my bat really well in the nets. I had already told yesterday that I was getting a good feeling for today’s match. I was confident. I even said, I will finish the match in a way that earns me the Player of the Match award. I’ve set a personal target for myself, to win at least two to three Player of the Match awards in this World Cup. I felt this pitch was much better. The ball was coming nicely onto the bat. As openers, the role for me and Saim Ayub is always to utilize the powerplay properly. I naturally play an attacking brand of cricket. Ayub got the start today but was a bit unlucky. My thinking was to continue playing my natural game because in T20 cricket, as an opener, you have to play that way. That’s the role given to us by the captain, to keep the attack on in the first six overs. We’ll go in with the same mindset as we did in our previous matches against India, including the Asia Cup. We’ll try to stay positive and play attacking cricket."

Sahibzada Farhan became only the 10th Pakistani batter to score 1000 runs in men's T20Is, joining the likes of Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi.

Most runs for Pakistan in men's T20Is:

-Babar Azam – 4520 runs in 133 innings*
-Mohammad Rizwan – 3414 runs in 93 innings
-Mohammad Hafeez – 2514 runs in 108 innings
-Shoaib Malik – 2423 runs in 110 innings
-Fakhar Zaman – 2385 runs in 108 innings
-Umar Akmal – 1690 runs in 79 innings
-Ahmed Shehzad – 1471 runs in 59 innings
-Shahid Afridi – 1405 runs in 90 innings
-Saim Ayub – 1271 runs in 61 innings*
-Sahibzada Farhan – 1000 runs in 41 innings*

He always had the ability to hit the ball hard. When he debuted in 2018, his feet were jammed to the ground. With time, he has improved his footwork a lot and is very light footed now without sacrificing his hitting power.

Sahibzada Farhan speaking during the press conference after beating the USA:

Question: How was the pitch, and do you think 190 was a big enough total to put pressure on the USA?

Sahibzada Farhan: Yes, the pitch was excellent, but scoring 190 on it is still a significant achievement. Given how we’ve played over the last five or six months, you’ve seen us scoring 190 or 200+ quite comfortably; there is a lot of hard work behind that. As for the pitch, it was great. I told Saim [Ayub] in the first over that we needed to utilize the power play [circle], just as we’ve been doing. So, 190 was a great total according to the conditions.

Question: Pakistan has become the first team in Group A to win two matches, and your chances for the Super 8s look bright. Tell us about the big match on the 15th [against India]. What is the team’s mindset and plan? This is a massive fixture in ICC events.

Sahibzada Farhan: Naturally, when you win two matches and stay at the top of the table, confidence is high. It’s not like we haven’t played against them [India] before. This time, we will play with a slightly different mindset. As you saw in the Asia Cup, our middle order was struggling a bit, but now you can see improvement—Shadab and Nawaz are both contributing runs. Insha'Allah (God willing), it will be an exciting match for everyone.

Question: You effectively finished the game in the power play with big hits. What needs to be done in the middle overs, and are you looking to emulate any global batsmen in terms of hitting sixes?

Sahibzada Farhan: As an opener, you have to play the powerplay this way because that is the demand of T20 cricket. If you utilize the power play well, the other team loses momentum. Saim and I have the same role: if even one of us uses the power play effectively, the game becomes one-sided. We aim for 60+ runs; we did that in the first match and finished with 50 today. Sometimes I consult Babar [Azam] bhai on how to carry an inning deep. Insha'Allah, next time I will try to convert a 70 into an 80, and an 80 into a 90.

Question: The next match is against India. Since the Asia Cup, people say India-Pakistan is no longer a contest and has become one-sided. Do you have a message for India?

Sahibzada Farhan: I don’t think so. In the last Asia Cup, it wasn't a one-sided match; we fought until the end. You would have seen that the boys were fighting hard. We haven't played a one-sided game yet, and Insha'Allah, this time too, it will be a strong, competitive match.

Question: You’ve played well against India before, specifically against Bumrah in the Asia Cup. How does that set you up for Sunday?

Sahibzada Farhan: When you score runs, you gain confidence. I am confident because my last two innings have gone very well. At the end of the day, it’s just a match. We shouldn't let the pressure of "India vs. Pakistan" get to our heads. We will play it just like a normal match.

@topspin @emranabbas

They bump this thread when Farhan does well, and they bump my thread when Farhan does bad :qdkcheeky

They were so fixated about his performances on slow, substandard pitches in the BPL.

From memory I remember @BouncerGuy and @Raja Ishtiaq were making a big deal about this. As expected this was always going to backfire. But no problem keep your takes coming and show everyone how foolish you really are.

It was a big deal when our premier batter is failing badly.. We had to discuss it... Should we ignore everything>???

You would think Farhan has just scored a century at the Gabba when you read these posts

Yes discuss but facts with context is important. BPL are substandard batting wickets. Do you really think your messiah Babar, who can't play spin to save his life, has a chance on those wickets?

He doesn’t need a century at the Gabba to prove anything, especially after outclassing your favourite, Babar. But if you’d rather back players like him, Misbah, and Rizwan, that’s your choice, just don’t act as though you hold higher standards.
