He is not making use of his height and loose limbed body. Yes, swing is an asset, but he should model himself more on Ambrose and Walsh rather than Akram.Kept on bowling full. Poor thinking
a gloried slooger thinks he is a all rounder now. He probably thinks he needs to contribute with the bat as his bowling form will mean he will dropped soon. But Shaheen, you're not a international all rounder in the slightest.Average bowler and an awful batsman. Someone tell him that he will never be an all rounder.
He's bowled the highest number of overs since his debut in 2018. He was always eager to play every game, T20 for Pakistan even against weak teams.
The workload and the fact he wants to play in the hundred, ILT20 and the PSL, no surprise to see him burn out so quickly
Good bowler ? on what basis ?After watching him over the past few months, it is clear that he lost both pace and swing. Not the same bowler.
Either he is not fit and hiding some injury or his peak is over now. He is just a good bowler. Not world class.
We've all witnessed outstanding performances from Shaheen Shah Afridi lately. Thanks to Alex Hales for making two brilliant catches.SSA 3/22 in his 4 overs while bowling for Desert Vipers against Gulf giants.
Mohammad Amir on the other hand registered a bowling figure of 1/27 in his four overs while playing for the same side.

Yes, he got spanked a bit. Funnily enought, Amir and Shaheen got hit for (more or less) the same amount boundaries. Batters just managed to take more singles and doubles from Shaheen.Sad to see Shaheen being outbowled by others today at the ILT match. He could have got 1 wicket but overall looked like a one trick pony largely.
On today's show Amir comfortably looked better than Shaheen. He got the ball to swing early and bowled good lengths.Yes, he got spanked a bit. Funnily enought, Amir and Shaheen got hit for (more or less) the same amount boundaries. Batters just managed to take more singles and doubles from Shaheen.
But it does make you beg the question: who is the better bowler?

They are discussing how to get Fakhar Zaman to open with Saim Ayub for Pakistan.Any idea guys, what they might be discussing?
Asking him to take some rest and calm down.Any idea guys, what they might be discussing?
The economy is 9.50, and because of this, all the fun is being spoiled.SSA 2/19 in his 2 overs for Desert Vipers against Dubai Capitals in ILT20 2024
Typical Shaheen Afridi spell in the ILT20 today. Great with the new ball and expensive in the death oversQuite an expensive outing for Shaheen Afridi in the ILT20 game.
He ended up with match figures of 4 overs 47/2
He wasn’t even great with the new ball. Pathirana took a great catch otherwise Gurbaz was looking to line him up. Dunk tore into him and he was lucky to bowl to a seriously out of form WarnerTypical Shaheen Afridi spell in the ILT20 today. Great with the new ball and expensive in the death overs
Pathriana could have almost won the game in last over if Shaheen hadn't gone for 15 runs in his over.He wasn’t even great with the new ball. Pathirana took a great catch otherwise Gurbaz was looking to line him up. Dunk tore into him and he was lucky to bowl to a seriously out of form Warner
What was Shaheen bowling in that 19th over? What was his plan? Just releasing it and hoping in lands somewhere good for him?Pathriana could have almost won the game in last over if Shaheen hadn't gone for 15 runs in his over.
Maybe he should bowl his 4 overs at the startWithout any doubt Shaheen is the 1st over bowler.
Shaheen is not a death-over specialist anymore. He never was for me. He is good at the start and in the middle overs but not in the death overs. His form has been poor and he is just hoping now that he throws the ball and somehow gets saved but this is cricket and you will not be safe if you do not try hard. He does not look like a focused guy, maybe due to some injury or what but he is not bowling to his full potential. What was Shaheen bowling in that 19th over? What was his plan? So, Shaheen is a fan of NFL, or is it just a PR post? After a downturn in cricket performance, maybe Shaheen is looking to switch sports
I’ve seen Shaheen do warm ups with a football. Tbf he looks like a good player with a good touch. Could be a solid CBSo, Shaheen is a fan of NFL, or is it just a PR post?
Very likely he will retire from Tests in a year or two. He can't be playing all the formats and has to say farewell to one which probably would be Tests. Can't see him even passing 200 Test wickets.Observed that after skipping final test against Australia to manage his workload, Shaheen is playing the ILT20 for some Desert Vipers
Shows where his priorities are, I can understand some XYZ player but this guy is a national captain.
His built and height is more ideal for basketball and NBA.I’ve seen Shaheen do warm ups with a football. Tbf he looks like a good player with a good touch. Could be a solid CB
He knows well that he will never be dropped so he can do what he likes. He can rest in a Test match, play endless leagues, bowl I'm the 130k etc etc.Shaheen is taking things for granted now. He has a thought in his mind that he is undroppable. He needs to be schooled if he is thinking like that. He is not the best out there atm. His form has declined and he needs to wake up before he is out.
Yea that's exactly right but his workload does need to be managed better tbh.I think Shaheen fears that bowling lots of overs in Test matches would lead to injuries, fatigue and he would end up missing these T20 leagues. It's clear that his priorities are not right.
He even hit 145kph once. Hes getting back slowly. Just needs to manage his workload and play a 1st class seasonShaheen is getting his rythm back in this year's PSL.
He is hitting 145/146kph. Was he saving himself for PSL? It won't surprise me as our players seem to care more about T20 leagues than international matches.
