Babar’s career in T20i’s is over, just accept it.

No one is keeping him out of the team, if Farhan is dropped, we have other youngsters who can be brought in.

There’s no point of going back to a guy who has been out of form for the last 2-3 years. What should be the peak of career has turned out to be the twilight.

Babar was backed by all of us, only for him to give us nothing in return.

Babar’s career will be over when Pakistan finds superior batsmen who can close the door on him.

The likes of Saim and Farhan are absolutely nobodies compared to Babar and they have been very poor themselves for a while now.

Sooner or later, this drama will end soon because these guys haven’t got it. You have to be completely delusional to think that Babar has played his last T20 international.
 
And by the way - Sahibzada has T20 domestic average of 25 @ 132.

I would rather have Babar Azam who averages 40 @130 in International T20.

Our fans don't know that there is a method to madness - what we saw yesterday, english players have a proper hitting technique and bat swing behind their shots.

These guys are just slogging blindly.

IF he unable to perform in rest of the Asia Cup then he should be dropped for forever.

All the above are missing from your so-called modern players.

That’s the reason why their failure rate is so high. They fire once in ten matches, and then their delusional clown fans start jumping up and down.

Effective hitters are also consistent. That is what makes them effective.

Last 6 innings, he has been mediocre... Before that, he scored 3 50s in his last 6 innings but he really needs to do well here... He might not get another chance.

Pakistan didn’t bowl well vs USA. Batting vs USA and Oman were equally pathetic.

I will not allow these new era and new template clowns to hide behind bowling performance.

160 vs Oman is a failure for a team that was apparently held back by Babar and Rizwan and is now filled with explosive modern batsmen from top to bottom.

The reality is that Pakistan’s batting has not improved at all and hence it is proven that Babar and Rizwan were not holding the team back. This is why this little drama will end in tears and both of them will be back.

These guys can do decently versus minnows at best.

Discussion of failure/success rate isn't even in play.
 
He looks very stiff in the crease, and all his big shots are cross-batted shots. Bowlers attacking the stumps and occasionally bowling short will get him out easily.
 
Farhan is probably playing his final event if he fails, he will be dropped for good.... There are many young guys coming and waiting in line so farhan should really do something big here to keep his spot

Need him to show up today. Output hasn't been good enough since his return. You'd think he'd enjoy batting on these slow, low bounce pitches.
 
He has been quiet for last 6-7 innings... This is the perfect game for him to show what he is made of and why he was selected... He has been playing at his preferred number so he should be active.

You get the “impression” that he’s playing well but he’s been woeful. He just does not have the range of shots to score properly he’s just surviving at a poor strike rate.

Exactly the kind of batters we do not want after the failed experiment of Rizwan these type of batters will NEVER win you ICC tournaments that are played on high scoring pitches.

Agha isn’t holding at trying together. He has hit two sixes of Bumrah other than that he has no clue what to do. He is unable to rotate the strike or pick gaps. He has left it on the others to hit and get out.

Feel sorry for him, he’s about to be given the Rizwan treatment on social media just so people can defend and protect their useless hacks from getting all the hate. Saim and Haris are going to completely avoid any heat on social media

Apart from Can v/s US game with scores of 190+, Pakistan's 160 was the highest on US pitches.
No other team scored even 130 in any of the matches and that includes India and South Africa against the minnow teams.
 
I believe he hit Bumrah for 2 sixes. That was impressive.

His strike-rate was poor today but he played a handy knock. Without his knock, things could've been worse for Pakistan.
 
Still scratchy and was at sea against spin but showed his prowess against pace with those two maximums against Bumrah. Given Saim and Fakhar's struggles, his place seems safe for now.

Things were already worst for Pak. Umpire raised fingers more frequently than the runs were scored.

Only good thing was Shaheen's 6 on full toss

Indian dominance over Pakistan in the recent years has mainly been because of players such as Kohli and Bumrah. You have to look for a way to overthrow these players that have locked you down.

Naw, Kuldeep + Axar have hurt Pakistan more then Bumrah has.

1) Kohli
2) Kuldeep
3) Axar
4) Pandya
5) Bumrah

In terms of damage to Pakistan in that order. Ironically Rohit, Gill, and a few others have hardly phased Pakistan. Gill performed vs Pakistan once only. Rohit 1 or 2 times max as well otherwise non existent.
 
He was just sitting on the backfoot and waiting for a short delivery for Bumrah on a slow pitch to hit for 6. When Bumrah pitched it up - he could not do much. Those 2 sixes looked fabulous but did little to push the scoring rate up bcoz he was playing out dot balls for the rest of the over

This is typical old fashioned 90s style batting - not suited for 2025

Look at Abhishek Sharma. He was taking the onus - charging down the track against Shaheen Shah

I have no idea how the selectors and PCB staff is so incompetent?

How can you watch him play and not immediately recognize how limited he is as a batsman? Zero international level game.

As some other posters have mentioned he’s worse than even Ahmad Shahzad and he plays exactly like him. So So much premeditation, planted feet, and all leg side hoicks in case something clicks.

Absolutely woeful and no place in international cricket.

PPers here can be forgiven as most folks do not have the eye to judge talent and they only look at X runs scored in domestic tournament.

That is never a criteria of selecting international class players —- you don’t select the highest scorer, EVER! You choose someone who has the game, range of shots and also is able to score. Not just score with planted feet and hoick to long on.

Dot balls were wrong, his approach to wait wasn't wrong, he should had hit six rotated the strike, doesn't have to charge down the track.
 
He plants the frontfoot and hits a specific length coming at specific height. He is a wanna be tim seifert who plays similar shots. But he does both front and off the backfoot. Everything else is out of syllabus for him. Bumrah has been hit for sixes by many guys in the IPL. Most recently Karun Nair absolutely brutalized Bumrah. He is 35 not exactly a T20 stalwart.
