This scorecard is of 1st ODI against Netherlands in 2022. In this game Agha Salman was sent after Rizwan, Shadab, Nawaz & Khushdil. I am wondering what was the thought process of team management at that time. They couldn't even identify at that time that Agha is the proper batsman rather they sent part timers above him. Then we saw clear injustice against him in 2023 WC.

I am not taking about runs and ultimately his runs did help us win. He showed a lot more application and disciple which is encouraging and an improvement

Exactly, he's superior to shadab in every way

There is a massive problem Pakistan shoving the same 11 into every format. There is a thing as having format specialists. Ifti might be a short term solution as an off spin bowling all rounder in t20’s but salman def does not need to replace him in t20’s. Perhaps salman can be useful in Odis.

Shadab is strictly for t20’s and even then I’m not sure.

Saim has more chances in T20’s than tests.

I think at the moment Saman does really well with the lower order in tests so leave him there and develop him more in odi’s as the next tours to Australia and Africa will separate the boys from the men.

There's no reason to. He has been batting superb with the tail. Let him play. Pakistan needs a player like him below in tough situations. Moreover I believe with his technique against pace he will find it tough up top.

He has been the best player for Pakistan, especially in red-ball format.

There is literally, no need to change his position. He should stay where he is batting. He might be the next captain soon.
