It was Steve Waugh who used to believe in backing the tailenders and treating them like proper batters. He’d give them the strike, trust them to hold up their end, and focus on building partnerships instead of trying to be a hero. Runs are runs, no matter who’s standing at the other end.Good knock today with a lot of stupidity towards the end in giving the strike to tailenders.
As I always say he’s a good Test batsman.
He can do good in low scoring ODIs too but that will exclude him from ICC tournaments and on batting pitches.
Not an ideal white ball batter, and more of an anchor.

Depends on the tail tbf.It was Steve Waugh who used to believe in backing the tailenders and treating them like proper batters. Salman did just that today and the proof is in the pudding.
Doesn't apply to every situation but certain tailenders are capable of alot if you give them confidence and guide them.Depends on the tail tbf.
Naseem has saved pakistan's bum countless times with the bat with his Afghanistan knocks being his most iconic.
He can run, defend, bat and atleast score a good 20 to 40 runs provided a proper batter is at the other end. Hence backing him to rotate is a solid call.
But if it's someone like shaheen then absolutely not.
One good thing about this era is that the tail is stronger courtesy of Naseem.
I remember when our tail use to be
8) Gul (can bat)
9) Ajmal( Useless with the bat beyond fluke knicks)
10) Junaid Khan (Somehow even worse then ajmal as a bat)
11) Muhammad irfan (lol)
Salman has his way of going about things and scoring runs with the tail. He has been very impressive in Tests. He did it again in ODIs today. It was Steve Waugh who used to believe in backing the tailenders and treating them like proper batters. Test and odi fresh air for pak as he's 100x > Shadab and Chacha as a player.Salman has his way of going about things and scoring runs with the tail. He has been very impressive in Tests. He did it again in ODIs today.
People just like to talk, cause it's cheap. They don't know A of the alphabets that Salman has learned batting with the tail in International Cricket.
Bro he looks a master with tail knew exactly what to do after shaheen got out he had bowlers which he target was spot on genious.Salman has his way of going about things and scoring runs with the tail. He has been very impressive in Tests. He did it again in ODIs today.

I made this thread because agha is simply >>>>>>>>>> Imad, Shadab, Nawaz, Chacha or any other pseudo lower order bat allrounder you can think from Pakistan.Might be a minor thing, but I really liked Agha's gesture of giving the POTM award to Saim. Agha may not have alot of experience but he carries himself like a senior player and that's pleasing to see for the future of this team.
Agha, Noman and Sajid.Bro he looks a master with tail knew exactly what to do after shaheen got out he had bowlers which he target was spot on genious.
I honestly don't think it really matters who you play in T20s at this point. The T20 WC is quite far away. There are two PSLs in between. Pakistan will have plenty of players to pick from. I don't necessarily see the harm in playing Agha in T20s given the low-stakes at play right now. If he can play these types of innings in T20 too, it will greatly benefit us. Mental toughness trumps everything else in my book. If you are mentally tough, you can break any barrier.I made this thread because agha is simply >>>>>>>>>> Imad, Shadab, Nawaz, Chacha or any other pseudo lower order bat allrounder you can think from Pakistan.
He's still comfortably behind malik and hafeez because his numbers and records aren't their yet and despite the criticism both malik and hafeez have multiple crucial knocks both bowling wise and batting wise throughout their careers.
Agha atm has played a few as well including this one but he's got to play multiple more.
Main gripe is t20 however. He's god awful in that format, however I still back him.
Talent wise he's a proper batter and a decent utility bowler who can make use of the conditions if they suit him.
Much better then someone like shadab, chacha or nawaz who are fake bowlers and fake batters.
Chacha isn't a fake batter but he sucks and is slower then molasses while shadab use to be a proper bowler before injury and then he changed his action and he's now rubbish.
Sajid isnt a all rounder.Agha, Noman and Sajid.
Proper allrounders for pakistan. Noman is old but sajid and agha should be PK's main allrounders.
Someone please kick abrar out. Useless qith the ball and a no 11 batter.
He has a 37 avg in List A? And was a solid Test batter in difficult conditons against England?Sajid isnt a all rounder.
Hes a number 9.He has a 37 avg in List A? And was a solid Test batter in difficult conditons against England?
Ameen! Excellent replacement for that useless ChachaA successful stint comes to an end, indeed valuable runs against South Africa in the 2nd ODI
