[VIDEOS] Mohammad Abbas commits to stay at Hampshire until at least the end of the 2024 season

It's strange that Mohammad Abbas isn't striking early, I think his focus is on economy rather than taking wickets early.

In 6 matches so far, he has the 3rd best economy rate, 2.36, in County Division 1 season 2024 for Hampshire.

Mohammad Abbas produced a masterful spell against Lancashire in county championship 2024, recovering from being wicketless in the first innings to claim 3 wickets in the second innings, conceding just 18 runs in 14 overs at an impressive economy rate of 1.28. This helped Hampshire secure a dominant win by an innings and 37 runs, with one of Abbas' scalps notably including the wicket of Andrew Flintoff's son, Rocky Flintoff.

As in first innings Mohammad Abbas secured the 4 wicket haul with figures of 4/27 in 12 overs.

He strikes in second innings, so far 1 wicket for him at economy rate of 3.64 against Worcestershire

Pakistan right-arm pacer Mohammad Abbas produced a match-winning display, taking 4/27 in the first innings and 1/37 in the second, propelling his side to a convincing 235-run win against Worcestershire. He has now taken 31 wickets in 10 matches at an economy rate of 2.39 and a strike rate of 62.74 in the ongoing County Championship 2024.
 
Abbas deserve another chance in national sidr. At least he is continuously playing proper test cricket at domestic level unlike many others who got chances from no where

Let's see if he can be the hero once again.
 
Who's the highest Pakistani wicket taker in English County cricket? Wasim Akram and Mushtaq Ahmed are two that I can recall as having long successful careers in England.

I imagine Abbas must also be quite high on that list.
