Don't understand why dhani is not getting a chance likewise arshad iqbal is also another he deserves some games.
 
He has potential, obviously lost it a bit his last over but that can happen with new players in this format of the game.

He has pace as shown with that bouncer to Simmons in the first game and a decent yorker. Worth more of a go than Rauf who goes to pieces far too regularly.
 
if theres anything special about him, i dont really see it. pretty close to his ceiling physically and seems to struggle to land yorkers.
 
He is a promising player, making progress and hope will get a long run .

Won't call him a super exciting talent, not like Amir, Umar Akmal and Shadab when they first started their international career, but those players could not handle the fame they got , but Waseem should be dealt as a promising young player and encouraged to work hard to improve his game. I have a feeling he will become a Pakistan regular soon, in white ball cricket.
 
He looks to have some ability and need to be supported to develop. If Pakistan is going to continue with a poor First-class cricket structure then the only way for a young player to come through is to be carefully nurtured by the Pakistan team management, Pakistani prospects will rarely be fully ready players, they will always be somewhat raw. The coach needs to understand the developmental process. What they are doing with Hasnain looks good they are taking their time and not pushing him as they did with Naseem. 21-22 is the right age for a player to be introduced to international cricket, before that it's a question of developing and playing the odd international match.

I don't see what people see in Arshad, hopefully you guys are right and he becomes the bowler we need. Dahani has the most potential and should be playing now, even if he goes for a few
 
He is a good talent. But like many others tried out he is too raw for this level.

Pakistan is desperate to find better bowlers than Amir, Wahab and keep trying various prospects. Hope people don't write him off just yet as its all new to him. The PSL was his first ever serious competition.

Thier was not many better bowlers than Amir shaheen is as close as it gets.

Proving to be very expensive once again
With his slingy action He has to be accurate as with the lack of bounce hes very hittable

Needs to improve his control a lot

Bowls reasonably quickly and when the yorker lands its very good. However he has went for over 10rpo in every game this series.
 
Wasim looks the most impressive of the young pacers I’ve seen in Pakistan cricket in ages , he’s of the old school of Pakistani fast bowling which is all out attack — you need a bowler like that to give you an edge, even if he goes for the occasional runs while striving for wickets. I’ve enjoyed his bowling and rate this kid highly.

He’s young and inexperienced , but will get better with time as he works on his variety and skills.

I’m just amazed but then again maybe I shouldn’t be , that some of us fans expect every young bowler to be as accurate and economical as Glenn McGrath right from their very first game or else they are probably not good enough, as if such are our high standards. No one is perfect, even McGrath once got hit for 20 runs in an over , with 5 boundaries, by a youngster named Abdul Razzaq.

Wasim needs to be persisted with yes, he goes for guns, and will go for runs, but he is a wicket taker, and i wanna see him bat more as well, he had be a good batsman for Pakistan as well. I think for t20 option, he is good, and can later develope into a good ODI bowler as well.
 
Jury out on this guy Bowl a lot of filth as well as some peaches

Needs to improve and tighten up his bowling which at the mo isnt intml standard
 
Every young bowler can’t become world class in a matter of a few months.Wasim jnr will become good.He has just started his international career.
 
He has got something about him & worth persisting with. Maybe we are too critical of our fast bowlers as T20 means they will go for runs especially in the death overs.

The future of our white ball attack with Shaheen, Haris, Hasan Ali, Wasim, Dhani and Naseem does look bright.

You obviously didn't watch his the first game we're he got both batters out with the Yorker

The trouble with waseen is that he is always going to be expensive with his slingy action and the lack of height and control will mean good players will get regular slot balls and and get him away regularly

Hope he improves because at the moment hes going to be hit all over the park against the better teams
 
He is a wicket to wicket bowler. He will get keep getting hammered but also pick up wickets. I feel he is too casual about his bowling.
 
One trick pony at the moment , can be good against left handers though , need to add outswing and some control to be effective in the longer run. Currently good teams will absolutely murder him.
 
He might be worth a go in test matches with his reverse swing and protection of fielders. He is raw but us Pakistan fans will never tire of fast bowlers clean bowling batsmen and Wasim has that quality.
 
Easily the most dashing player in the sub continent right now. He should just play on good looks
 
He should only play white ball cricket
And used as a 4th option with Rauf, shaheen , dahani as the main 3 we should play 4 fast bowlers.

Wasim if he can improve his batting can model himself on faulkner or what aussies have in Cameron greene.
 
I was expecting more from him with the bat.

Just seems to be a wild slogger, head in the clouds most of the time.

His ability to reverse the older ball pretty considerably with the support of his pace and round armish action is a pretty solid weapon to have in the middle/late overs.

Possibly one of the best reverse swing bowlers in Pakistan currently. Accuracy and control is something which he might have to improve.
 
I’ve never really seen the hype with Wasim. He always seems to look average and on the cusp of getting smashed. I’m not quite sure how / why he jumped the queue straight into the team. But he is young and I’d love for him to succeed, though he seems to have a lower ceiling than the other pacers we have.
 
He's a decent talent, specially in the t20 format
.but based on current form, I don't know how he's preferred over Dhani against Zimbabwe.

I think he has potential in his batting which they may take into consideration.

Equally with his batting, he has never shown any particular ability. He always tries to play the ramp shot.

I’d say he’s below Hassan Ali considerable in batting ability, and only slightly above Shaheen.

Yes I agree he's below Hassan Ali in terms of batting ability but they proberly don't want 3 number 11s.
 
To be honest, I am not too impressed by him but have to admit he's done well today to pull back the game from Netherlands and also taken 3 wickets

he is a better test prospect than ODIs i think

his use will be reverse swing and lower order batting
 
Hopefully he can improve more. Has hasan ali esque tendency of leaking runs.

Is one of the better test prospects in my opinion.
 
Always feels like when Pakistan are struggling, in comes Wasim jr. and gets big breakthrough. Feels very Razzaqish.

I am high on this talented lad and I think his batting will come with some time. It's worth remembering how young he is and how little he has played domestically.
 
I think he is talor made bowler for sub cont tests would like to see him get an opportunity
 
The more I see him the more I wonder he gets wicket from such limited ability , it is just get reverse swing and nothing else in his armory , not much pace as well but some how he always gets wicket which i think is due to good luck.

Avg pace of his stock balls was high 130s/140 throughout the ODI series vs Netherlands.
 
He has performed well was getting the ball to reverse.He has a bullet of throw and has good hitting ability.

He is just more accurate and less pacier version of Wahab Riaz and got a similar ability like him with the bat. If he can increase his pace and learn to move the ball away as well then he will be more effective.

80% percent of his balls are at stumps a very simple art which most bowlers don't follow this increases your wicket taking ability by 10% atleast

Yes , Correct against lower quality batsmen though. Modern day greats will destroy such kind of predictable bowling.
 
He’s rubbish no idea why he’s selected. Poor bowler. A tail ender and an average fielder. Get him gone along with Shanawaz both are useless.
 
He is bowling to the best of the best batsman he is that coveted all rounder which Pakistan has played over the years and some of them have donned Pakistan shirt over 300 times Afridi Malik Hafeez Razzaq, he is one from that clan just buck him up

Why didn't he bowl the last over? Or was he not allowed to since the overs got reduced?
 
He also needs to step up as a number 8 batter.

Highly improved bowler. Having said that he needs to mix it up sometimes. England made a meal of his bowling in recent series as they enjoyed hitting his full deliveries.
 
If he improves his batting he will have a very long career for Pakistan

Commentator says the delivery was too quick but I can’t see a spleen on it… anyone know?
 
He is going to be a good bowler in test cricket where there is reverse swing available(dry conditions)
 
Think he can emulate Hassan Ali batting ability.

Just needs to put some more thought as opposed to swinging.

Yeah, that's his strength and I think that's why his yorkers are effective. Even if he missed his length a bit, he isn't easy to hit because of the movement. Even in today's damp conditions, he was reversing it. Probably the best reverse swing bowler in Pakistan at the moment. His action is tailor-made for reverse.

Somewhere between 140 and 145 probably. That's more than good enough with that length and a bit of tail in.
 
If he can develop some decent hitting ability with the bat, then he will become an indispensable member of the side.
