So India won, and Surya and Dube just went off and their team never came for a hand shake.

No handshakes at the toss either!

This is exactly why i did not want the match to be played in the first place.

I don’t support playing cricket in such an unfriendly atmosphere.

If you’re playing a cricket match then play with proper cricketing etiquette and professionalism.

If you cannot do that, don’t play.

I’m proud of my stance today in not supporting and watching this cricket match.

But what happened afterwards apparently is not something i support.

Should have never played this game.

This is ludicrous from Indian players and BCCI. Why play with these guys then ?
Done with this team and this political leadership. Hopefully Pakistan humiliates them in super four.
 
Should have done handshakes. PCT has nothing to do with Pahalgam. Probably wary of the reaction in India if they went shaking hands. I don’t support this - it doesn’t sit well with me.

Indian and Pakistani players have always been good friends with couple of exceptions (Gambhir, Basit Ali etc).

The wave in Indian godi media is quite anti cricket with Pakistan right now. That’s what they been showing and swaying public opinion as well like they always do.

Most likely, BCCI PR agency told players not to maintain any contact with Pakistani players during the match especially in front of cameras.
 
It’s well in their right so it’s okay . They clearly under restrictions and directions from government

Some of the guys in the Pak playing XI were jumping around like frogs at that time.

Rana Faheem Ashraf was sharing lame memes but today ran away from the Indian batters like a typical paindu coward. :ROFLMAO:

The name Pakistan is associated so obviously it’s a trigger and Rana”s tweet didn’t help either . So makes sense to snub Pakistani players

I just think activities inside the field and outside the field of play are two different things. They are not having a war in Dubai.

I think the message is clear that they will play tournament matches and humiliate us. Do what ever you can. Now grow a spine and perform above your skills because whole world knows pakistan lacks quality and skills

Over the years, at every level, I’ve seen rivalries and absolutely disgusting behavior by players off the field, getting overly serious over minor issues after a game, in the clubhouse, over a few beers, or even in a common lunchroom. Garbage people with garbage personalities who don’t know right from wrong. That said, only a very few individuals would ever act this way and very, very occasionally not shake hands but even they usually realize afterward that it was wrong.

Almost everyone knew enough to leave that nonsense off the cricket field and act like a gentleman once the match was over. Outside the ground, after the match, you can behave however you want, it’s still wrong, but at least play cricket the way it’s meant to be played.

Every action of players wasn't over analyzed by people, boycott movements what not happen now. Players make a lot of money through advertisements, so yeah they don't want to be boycotted. It's a different time in sports.
 
The way Pakistan played, they didn't deserve any handshakes or hugs. Everyone knows the tense atmosphere and relations between the two countries.
 
Some people just have a terrible attitude and act like this. Even if someone tells you to behave that way, you should still draw a line and say you won’t disrespect the game or the opposition. We are taught from a young age by our coaches and senior players to always respect the game and shake hands after it’s over. What happened here is just unbelievable.

Dont mind me asking but didnt you create a thread based on captains press conference about Pakistani captains body language and how he ignored shaking hands with SKY.

India has done the same here. Why are you complaining?

I wish India Pakistan can just go back to bashing each others players etc.. unfortunately everyone seems to care way too much only during cricket, no one would had cared had this been hockey or kabbadi.

As the captain, if a player on my team acted like this, I would pull him aside and teach him a lesson. If he did it again, I would drop him for good and not pick him until he improved his attitude.
 
Many of us didn’t even want to see these two teams face each other so it’s no surprise, did people expect the players of both teams to jack each other off? This match has gone on due to the $$$$ on the line and pressure to get that pay day.

I know Rizwan & Babar would have wanted to though, followed by a cake cutting ceremony.

I urged to keep cricket out of this.

As I had feared, the hatred has now come into cricket.

This match should have not been played.

A cool off period was much needed for both nations before engaging in cricket matches. Regardless of whoever did what in May 2025, fact is that people died on both sides and we had a few challenging months afterwards due to calamities and international geopolitics.

Unfortunately greedy administrators didn’t care and now we are witnessing these ugly scenes in cricket.

Administration is to blame, but come on players are no kinder kids. Boycott the game if you don't want to play, don't smile at one press conference and shake hands, and another day run away and smile while talking about dead innocent civilians. It's a joke

Well, not a good gesture for the gentleman's game, but it’s okay. What matters more is the game itself. Whether they shake hands or not doesn’t affect the match; it only reflects the recent deterioration in relations between India and Pakistan.

If only Indian armed forces showed this much resolve on the battlefield 🤔

Warfares are much harder than a game of cricket. :inti

It also helps when ICC provides various perks.

Cricket has become a picnic for India due to ICC being BCCICC.

THe onus was on India. To take the win gracefully, or pull such a move. It seems like their self image was more important.
