Not bad considering he is just returning to cricket after a few months, and he got dengue.

Shaheen Shah Afridi - 2 wkt for 107 Runs for Northern vs S Punjab in Round 5 of QEA
He will only get better. india lost in 2014 too when they had young ishant, shami and relatively new umesh.
Shaheen will get better in the next tour. Guanrateed he will perform in the n3xt away series.
"See his feet aren't quite aligned, which means it's hard for him to swing the ball into the right hander.
"But it's easier to hit the pitch and take it away from the right hander. That's what's making him so dangerous (to Labuschagne)."

Did this at the Gabba as well.Fielding issues for Shaheen?

Apparently his eye sight isn’t the greatest.

I’m not sure what the exact issue is but Wasim mentioned the fact on commentary a couple of times last test.Lenses?
Is Wasim really a trustworthy source? The guy has been an embarrassment in the comm box. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s just assuming it based on Shaheen’s squinty look.I’m not sure what the exact issue is but Wasim mentioned the fact on commentary a couple of times last test.
At 19 he is taking wickets @35 under 3 rpo in an attack where everyone is going for 5's and 6's him and Babar are the only 2 who look international standard hereOverrated
Proves that height is not everything in Australia. There is no justification for such poor returns.
If there ever was a case of one bowler being let down by the rest of the attack it’s right here. Shaheen deserved a lot better around him.
I read he is injured. What happend?
It was minor, he was back on the field later and bowled.
It’s his tenth First Class match.A little expensive this morning with the new ball.
It’s his tenth First Class match.
By way of comparison, Haseeb Hameed has played SIXTY THREE of them.
He’s a teenager. He’s played 1/6 as much First Class cricket as Haseeb Hameed.
I think he’s developing beautifully.
A couple of years ago when I saw him I thought he was too raw for anything but t20 cricket. I think I was right then
But since that time there’s been a steady improvement and I think he’s grown into an absolute gem of a bowler. Putting aside his underwhelming performance in Australia I think in this recent series he’s showing lots more skills. He’s definitely one of the most improved Pakistani cricketers in that period along with Babar.
There is the odd loose ball but also there is greater control. He’s bringing the ball back into the RHB as well as taking it away which is absolutely essential to make it at test level. What I would love to see is bowling slower with the older ball to get it to swing just a bit more and bowl straighter. But I think he’s more of a young wasim Akram than amir was. His height and quicker arm action for one makes him a real contender.
Also love his partnership with abbas. Think it’s perfect.
For me the most impressive part has been the control aspect iirc in SA he was going well over 3+ an over and he’s managed to increase his control. Just needs to manage his workload as he was looking very tired by the end of today. What’s your opinions on Naseem? Think he’s got the skills but is very raw at the moment.
Misbah on Shaheen Shah Afridi
"Shaheen was the one bowler who was bowling 140+ after bowling 26-27 overs. The good thing was that the thing he was lacking in SA, that his energy levels weren't consistent was much improved. He was the standout bowler. He maintained his pace in all his spells and his control was also good"
Read in the other threads that Shaheen is also hitting 91mph now which is impressive. Very bright future ahead for this young man!

That is very impressive. Can someone please confirm this?
Yes . Hit around 92 mph today . Bowled two consecutive yorkers. One was around 91.5 , the other 90.4 mph.
Good thing is he is sustaining good speeds late in a test innings which shows his improved fitness
