91 off 57 in KPL today taking his side to its first win in the tournament.
There has never been a doubt that he has a lot of natural potential but, needs to play according to the requirements and needs to work on better execution, short selection and calmness at the crease.

No body wants haider to be a pollard or russel. He has skills to be a rohit or butler. Needs to stop slogging on leg. His off side shots are very good.

I agree. Had high hopes from him. Still young so hopefully he can turn it around but not sure he will. He needs to stop playing t20s for his own sake.

When you see the wagon wheels of almost all T20 power players the vast majority of their runs are on the leg side. He has some power - what he really needs is to pick his shots better.

If we are really serious in developing Haider, he needs to be dumped in domestic cricket and needs to be forgotten for at least 3 years.

Haider Ali :
When QEA was competitive, he made his FC debut and scored 99 on debut. Than in final he scored 134. Score 645 runs at an average of almost 50 in 7 matches with 2 hundreds and 3 fifties. (As Opener)
He made his FC debut for Northern Side under the coaching of Muhammad Wasim who has been the best coach at nurturing talented batsmen at domestic level.
Haider's stance, technique, shots array all fell apart once he got under other coaches and got exposed to too much T20 cricket.

Mickey Arthur used his influence and helped Haider Ali get a contract at Derbyshire. However Haider instead of making the most of the opportunity as witnessed by some posters from England was often found binging on shawarmas or hanging out at shisha cafes. His frequent fluctuations in weight is not surprising. The episode with the girl in Manchester and the trouble he got into with the police in Manchester confirms his off field discipline is poor. He is only responsible for his decline himself.
But how did you conclude he’s declined? Looked good in PSL. Just hadn’t played longer formats to make such a drastic conclusion.
