Good performance and his confidence should increase. He could play at number 5 for Pakistan, perhaps.

This innings may come back to haunt him.
With the top order of Babar, Rizwan and Hafeez set and Fakhar seemingly back in form, it may be that Haider is pushed down to 5/6. While he would be better there than the likes of Khushdil/ Asif/ Azam Khan, he is too good a player to be down at number 6.
He has solid temperament and great character.
Not one of those to buckle under pressure and it showed today.
Just needs to bat long periods and figure out his game.
There is so much talent there that he cant really establish what kind of a batsman he is.

13 boundaries and 9 were leg side hacks
Add some poor bowling too. Easily would’ve got out in the cow corner (in the internationals) as he usually does
6 months away from international cricket, and still the same leg side hacks
I had such high hopes but has become a Brain dead slogger at this point in his career.

If we are really serious in developing Haider, he needs to be dumped in domestic cricket and needs to be forgotten for at least 3 years.
He wont get lost if he tops the chartsAnd then get lost in the system
