Really am pleased with his selection, but I must say, his Pakistan Cup stats with the bowl are a lot to be desired, if I'm honest.

Yes very disappointing knock. Trying to cut shakib on full incoming deliveries. I hope it was just pressure not incompetence

Yes we needed a hard hitting batter but decided to go with Malik in the last couple overs of the last game.

Qasim Akram has had a poor tournament without a doubt, with Imran Niazi taking his place and generally being decent is shambles from him.

Qasim probably needs a new team without doubt.
 
Needs a lot more domestic time 3-4 yrs he might turn blue chip material, right now too early...
 
Yes when he did get a chance with the bat he flopped but he was in and out of the squad and pluss he didn't bowl.

For Shaheens, right-arm fast Dahani and right-arm off-spinner Qasim bagged three wickets each. Left-arm spinner Mehran Mumtaz took two wickets for 36 from seven overs.

I don't know why every team bats Qasim Akram so low. He is not a Number 7 batter. Should be batting in the top 5. He is also not a proper all-rounder in my view. Needs to be played like Hafeez as a batting all-rounder.
 
Kudos to Qasim Akram! His outstanding half-century for Mirpurkhaas Tigers against Benazirabad Lals in SPL 2024 was truly remarkable. Thanks to his incredible innings, Mirpurkhaas Tigers clinched a solid victory by 7 wickets.

Looked rusty in the start of his inning but he caught up later on and it was a fine knock but there was one on the other end to support him.

He is strange one- he looks like a proper player on one day and looks a total shadow the next. I remember one innings in the U19 WC where he looked an absolute beast and then I saw him in another and he looked very average. Anyways looking at the terrible state of our batting, let's see what he can do. The other weird thing is that he isn't even playing against SL A.

Agha is a better option than both for tests, while he's around I don't think there is a spot for either of them specially not Qasim as his bowling is not better than either of salman and mubassir.

Agha is 31 while Qasim and Mubasir are 21-22 for 2027 test cycle onwards Pakistan will need a replacement for Agha
 
Qasim Akram played a stellar knock of 138 on Day 1 of the President’s Trophy 2025 against PTV, marking his 6th First-Class century! Another brilliant performance from him – truly a player to watch in this tournament!
