Don't be surprised if India loses both Kohli and Rahane in first hour as Aussies will come hard in the morning session.
Nothing is impossible for this miracle guy
Shame on those people who criticize him
Number 1 batsman for sure![]()
Absolute beauty of a pitch to bat on and he chokes to SCOTT BOLAND. Chases a wide one and ends India's hopes with Jadeja falling a few balls later. No surprises. Game will be over in next 5 overs.
Since Jan 2020, Kohli averages 29.69 in 25 Tests with only one hundred.
If it was any other player...
Name one top tier all time player with a more abysmal record on the big stage.Since Jan 2020, Kohli averages 29.69 in 25 Tests with only one hundred.
If it was any other player...
Anyone younger. He's not going to offer Indian cricket anything going forward. Better to look to the future and build a new team. Keeping the likes of Rohit, Pujara, Rahane and Kohli is going to do them no good. These guys are past their best and the results are only going to get worse. India will not win a WTC with them.He is surviving for the work he has put in the past. But then who will India replace him with?
Pujara and Sharma are also on their way out. Guys like Iyer are not technically up to the mark to survive in Test cricket either
Can you really blame VK when you have catches like these taken?

Why saddle Bumrah in the same bracket with Virat & Rohit? Yes he has been terrible in most of the ICC knockouts & do/die matches but poor chap has only been around since 16. You can't compare Virat/Rohit's decade long failures with his 16-21 cycle. He wasn't part of last world t20 & ofcourse he is missing this match as well. Dhoni, Bhuvi, Jadeja & Ashwin actually have had more failures than him.Rohit always slips under the radar. He is one of the main reason along with Kohli and Bumrah why we haven't won a single ICC trophy for so many years.

This is someone who is mentioned in GOAT discussions![]()
He isn't a patch on ATGs this game has produced.Shame on Kohli for fooling people around that he is an ATG test batsman.
Only BCCI could be blinded by his sponsorship deals and hence he is undroppable.Since Jan 2020, Kohli averages 29.69 in 25 Tests with only one hundred.

Because Bumrah failed in almost knockout games he played till date. That's why he is as much of a failure as rest of our prima donnas are.Why saddle Bumrah in the same bracket with Virat & Rohit? Yeah, that's the only platform he is now good at, Instagram.A cryptic instagram post by Virat Kohli....

Kohli shared a picture on his Instagram story which read - "Silence is the source of great strength". There was no explanation provided with the picture and it left several fans quite confused.

After 5 years, nothing has changed. An ATG ODI player. Not even in the top 30 of test players.
Is Kohli an Arsenal fan? Seems to bottle it in finals.

I haven't seen an ATG cricketer decline so rapidly. I'd be glad if he retires after the World Cup. He is simply spoiling his legacy.
There is too much pressure on virat to perform every time in an icc event cause others around him are useless. I think he will do well in upcoming odi worldcup which is is best format & being in home conditions is even better. He have to look at his test batting though cause there are problems with his technique and he keeps getting out on balls outside offstump to any decent bowler overseas.
Imagine if the same thing was said about Babar Azam here?
Virat Kohli has always played alongside good batsmen. This excuse shouldn't be used for him. He is not an ATG in tests.![]()
Failed in both the games.
The NZ win in semi final was thanks to NZ bowlers led by Ross Taylor's inspirational batting. Kane batted very slow in that game. In finals, he flopped big time anyways.

He made huge impact in semifinals, on that difficult pitch Kohli and co were walkimng ducks and gut made 67, mactch defining partnership with Taylor.
It was a pretty slow knock and that total wasn't good enough. Strong teams like England or Australia would have chased it down for fun.
Viv remains the GOAT of the One Day Game, Kohli is being lowballed though, he is the third best ODI batsmen of all time and nothing is ever taking yhat away from the man.
No one considers Virat as ATG in tests.
He just doesn't have enough iconic knocks in tests to win his detractors over.
It's when people downplay his achievements in ODI, it becomes painfully obvious people are salty so they want him to win some trophy to be counted as ATG IN ODI.
So would you like greatness to be defined by runs scored in bilateral tournaments or greatness based upon winning important tournaments? If 38 of his 46 centuries and 75% of his runs are in bilateral, if he has failed consistently in finals and knockout games in multinational format then any unbiased fan would ask whether just based on overall stats should he be considered an ATG player.
If greatness is about winning tournaments, Jacques Kallis and all other South Africans are useless.
Nobody calls Kallis an ATG in LOIs. Test championship didn't exist in Kallis time. Kallis has been instrumental in South Africa's resurgance as a top tier test team, and South Africa was arguably the best test team from 2007-2015 (almost 10 years). Kallis was the second best player in the team after Steyn, and Steyn is arguably the greatest test bowler of all time.
I am just following a train of thought which suggests that "in order to be great you HAVE TO WIN TOURNAMENTS".
I don't believe it's true.
You can be an ATG without winning silverware.
If greatness is about winning tournaments, Jacques Kallis and all other South Africans are useless.
You can't be an ATG overall if you're not an ATG in test cricket. Kohli is an LOI ATG but he's as Indian great in test, at best.
I agree with what you said already.
Nowhere did I say he is a Test ATG.
The issue is people downplay his ODI achievements and dont consider him an ODI ATG.
Kohli is a ATG because history shows he was a dominant force in cricket, stats and finals and any other cherry picking won't change anything.
Virat plays great in the matches that don't matter and scores like 1,5,11 in semi finals when it actually matters. The greatest statspadder in the history of cricket.
I do have respect for legacies but not the legends of statspadding for sure.Kohli is a greatest batsman than anyone in Pakistan’s history. The fact that you have no respect for his legacy doesn’t hurt him in any way but it certainly makes you look small.
Yeah. He owes it to Pakistan.Virat out for 3 - seems to only perform against Pakistan
