To think this guy was made captain. Doesn't matter if he's a tactical genius, a captain is an ambassador for the country, and Sarfraz is dragging the reputation through the dirt. Not only that, he doesn't seem to accept it and is now hitting out at anyone who is criticising his obnoxious behaviour. Thank God he's been banned and we won't have to watch his ridiculous antics wearing the Pakistan shirt for a while.

Do you guys remember how Misbah handled the toxic "criticism" hurled his way from the likes of Akhtar, Bakht and Yousuf? He paid no heed and continued finding success on the field until these guys started looking like jokers. Sarfaraz should follow suit.

Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has said he wants to see Sarfraz Ahmed return as the captain of the cricket team, as the skipper has been suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for four matches.

“I said what I saw [Durban incident], and I have nothing to do with his [Sarfraz] opinion over it, but the return of Sarfraz as captain is important,” said Akhtar, while talking to local media.

Earlier, the Pakistan cricket captain hit back at Akhtar after he returned to Pakistan few days after the controversial incident during match against South Africa. The skipper said that the former fast bowler was ‘attacking’ him ‘personally’.

“The problem with Sarfraz is, he doesn’t know what and when to speak,” said Akhtar, while talking about Sarfraz’s statement. Akhtar further opined that the skipper now needs to concentrate on the upcoming ODIs as he plans to make his return.

Sarfraz was handed a four-match suspension by the ICC, after he was caught via the stump mics making a racist comment against the South African all rounder Andile Phehlukwayo in the 2nd ODI at Durban.

The Pakistani skipper was strongly criticised for his remarks, by many including Shoaib Akhtar who demanded a public apology from him. “The incident is completely unacceptable for a Pakistani. I think he did this in the heat of the moment and he should publicly apologize,” the former pacer said in his video tweet.

Not that I'm defending Sarfraz here, but you know for a fact that Shoaib will be no where to be seen if Pakistan manages to somehow win the next game. I like some of his analysis, but Shoaib is a classic "prisoner of the moment".

A lot of young Pakistani fans do not understand ye tezzi hoti kya cheez hae and what is real badmashi on a cricket field.

Its a generationnos dossile and timid cricketers for Pakistan whi start crying whenever ex cricketers rightfully ridicule them.

If this team was leas by Shoaib Malik it would have been a different case.

Tbh, Akhtar doesn't come across as anti Sarfraz.

His criticism has always been around Sarfraz being less authoritative than he should be.

His recent comments around his fitness have been bang on too.

I dont like the personal attacks on players. If you criticise a player, it should only be about their performance. However, a lot of pak players are more concerned about being in the team, than pak winning the WC. Safaraz must know hes not good enough to be in the team, let alone be captain. He should have retired and let someone better play in his place, to give pak a better chance of winning the WC.
Yes it is the selectors fault for selecting him, but they(inzi) is useless and safi should have shown some self respect and repect to pak cricket team, and retired

What personal grudge can Shoaib have with Sarfraz? Sarfraz is just being a crybaby. Just acknowledge your weaknesses and don't hide behind childish excuses.
