6 overs were left in the game with 3 remaining for Bhuvi and 3 for Bumrah.

Yet he takes an unnecessary risk to give another over to part-timer Jadhav who was hit 16 in that over, which at one point looked like Pakistan would cross 350.

That was very unwanted from Kohli to give a part-timer an over when specialist death bowlers had over left.

Result : Jadhav got hit for 16 runs, Hafeez gets a Half Century and Bumrah only bowled 9 overs.

I was really surprised by Kohli's captaincy. Never tried to take wickets, just wanted to restrict Pakistan. Didn't try part-timers before the 39th over, didn't bring back Bhuvneshwar when Pakistan were going strong and then probably lost track of his bowling options and bought in Jadhav in the 39th to finish off Jadeja's remaining (at that time there were 12 overs remaining with Bumrah having 4, bhuvi 5 and Jadeja 3) overs.

Giving Jadhav the 2nd Over made sense to make up for Jadeja's overs because Jadeja was being hit by Hafeez.

But after Fifth bowlers quota was finished and main bowlers could bowl all overs, there was no need to take unnecessary risk.

I think everyone knew at that stage that Hafeez will go after him as he was going against Jadeja.

If Pakistan has to bowl out 6 overs, then there is no need to give Azhar Ali an over when Amir and Hassan both have 3 overs each to bowl.

Doesn't make sense.

He tries to impress with his out of box thinking and tries to emulate Dhoni's " Joginder Sharma " moments.

Failed Captain.

First he didn't drop Ashwin to play Yadav

Then didn't bowl the part times during the middle overs and brough him after 39 overs.
