Vyapam Scam

Must be among the most disgraceful things ever happened in Indian history or perhaps anywhere in the world

Slap on the face of so called largest democracy

There is a lot of poverty and corruption in India. The silver lining is that the guilty are prosecuted and punished. That gives hope of things getting better with time.

How does it give you any hope? Some of the foremost politicians are involved in this and the case is far from being solved. If anything it's even more depressing

What's so surprising? India does not enjoy an image of corruption free country anywhere so scams like these are very common.. This one happened on a huge scale and got highlighted due to murders of whistleblowers but corruption happens in every aspect of government dealings everywhere in India.. So shouldn't surprise you one bit..

It gives hope because similar corruption exists in dozen of other countries and there it is accepted and there is no attempt to take any action against the guilty.

Give me a break. You are delusional if you think such nonsense happens everywhere

And it most definitely shouldn't happen in the largest flourishing democracy..

What has democracy got to do with it? Corruption is not related to being a democracy or not, this is a huge scale corruption where lot of big wigs were involved some of the middle tier/lower level people involved in this cases will be punished for the top wigs judges/investigators will be bribed to keep them out of the reports..

Happens in all major cases of corruption in here nothing to do with democracy.. The bright side which napa was referring to is probably with RTI now the middle tier/lower tier people involved will get jail terms whether they serve that or not is another story..

We can talk more when people behind this are actually brought to justice

Before then all this talk of silver hope is a joke considering this sham is going on for years now

Where did I say it happens "everywhere"? You need to work on your comprehension of the English language if you think "exists in dozen of other countries" means "everywhere". There are over 200 sovereign countries in the world.

I am delusional? For your education about the world, here is a list of 70 countries where nepotism and corruption easily exceeds India's.
