Whether its PSL or Pakistan Cup the same stories continue with or without foreign players. Deserving players either don't get selected in the team or they get a very less opportunities. TTFs and classified oldies get all the benefits of playing on top or bowling full quota. So sad to see this injustice.

I don’t want to start a debate because you will stop replying when you realise there are no facts to back up your opinion.

How exactly is he ‘much better’? What has Wahab done is his numerous ODIs to suggest he’s better than Junaid?

Junaid bowled brilliantly in the Champions trophy, even better in the aane do series and has a good ODI record. (I don’t think he should be in the World Cup squad but he’s a different league to Wahab. Id say a bhatti vs Anwar Ali vs Wahab argument is more accurate).

Adil Amin has List A average of 46 with SR of 81 and 5 100s. He can hit the bowl well and have seen him finish matches as well.

Surprised he was never considered for PSL.

Well no because Wahab just bowled a few good spells. Junaid helped us win the Aane Do series and he helped us win the champions trophy. At some point in his career he has been useful to us. Can you give me an example of Wahab contributing significantly to winning us a game or two rather than just bowling a decent spell followed by some awful performances.

Was Wahab always bowling alone? You can use an excuse for Junaid’s performance but not give me any example of what Wahab has done for us.

In 2011 Wahab had Umar Gul who was thrashed and Razzaq who only bowled 2 overs.

Fast bowlers tend to hunt in pairs.

In 2015 Wahab had an unfit Irfan, Rahat Ali, Sohail Khan and Ehsan Adil.

Pretty sure that 2015 WC would have been closer than it was had Wahab had better bowling partners.

But those are all ifs and buts.

Wahab has been bowling and it showed in the PSL, he looks fitter than ever and is bowling 150 kliqs consistently.

Junaid on the other hand has been in and out of the side since 2017 while battling injuries in between, he's also not getting any younger.

Junaid was fine in 2017, but now we have Shaheen to partner up with Amir and both are better new ball bowlers than Junaid.

Junaid in the recent series was smashed all over the ground whereas Usman Shinwari who is not known for keeping things tidy was the one that remained economical... Wahab should have been selected to prove his worth but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

We need a little bit of variety in the line up and currently no one is able to bowl 150km consistently.

Would have been nice to see Rauf in the Aus series as well, that way we could have gotten a better idea as to which express pacer we should take... You could have had Rauf/Hasnain/Wahab competing for a spot.

So far in the Pakistan Cup Wahab has looked really good and if he keeps up with his fitness and performance then I don't see why he can't be one of the ones on the plane to England.

Yes, he has been expensive before and is a bit wayward... but there are 9 group games this time around and you'd want to rotate your pacer to even out their workload.

Ideally Junaid should be in for Faheem as Faheem provides no value whatsoever if he's not in the 15 as an all rounder.

In terms of Wahab, he has been bowling fast for the last ten years. He runs in hard and has unreal stamina. But he is just crap. He has no bowling brain and lacks any skills. He is worse than Even Sami who could still swing it occasionally and was even quicker in his prime.

There was nothing he showed in those two over spells in the PSL that would suggest he is suddenly an important part of the team. He was performing awfully before, check the last ODI he played. Even if he has improved, he will still be rubbish.

You’re wrong, you dont need variety in an attack. We didnt have an express bowler in 92, 09 or 17. We had bowlers who bowled well, were reliable and took wickets. Wahab cant do that. Period.

Just because we didn't have one before doesn't mean we shouldn't take one.

92, 09, 17 all had different type of bowlers.

Junaid of old was useful but his recent showing in UAE says otherwise.

Can't have someone on the flat beds of England when they were smashed on UAE pitches.

This was the only fivefer of Pakistan Cup 2019.

This was Wahab's first fivefer in List A Cricket after 2011.

It was a breathtaking spell of Fast bowling.

Wahab Riaz bowls fastest bouncers and Yorkers amongst all Pak pacers. He is a must because he has worked very hard on his fitness lately, is bowling as quick as he did in 2015 WC and is in good form.


Shaheen, Hasan aren't touching 145 kph and Hasnain's fastest in England uptil now have been 146-147 kph only.



Inzamam, Mickey ,Azhar & Sarfraz should let go there zidd and select Wahab Riaz for WC.
