Just goes to show how idiotic and classless these Pakistani cricketers are. Common sense should have told him to avoid answering that question entirely as its not his place to give advice in public.

I am pretty sure Babar knows he has to to up his SR.

Where do they find these muppets?

Careful with his words?

Mate give it a rest. Haris has probably shut babar down the nicest way possible while encouraging him to up his game as a t20 player the nicest way possible.

Savage was sunny Gavaskar tearing babar apart. Granted sunny was correct about the technique but his other words were uncalled for.
as much i do not like Babar’s batting in t20.. Haris should have dodged the question. Because he has been horrible himself .. Honestly he looks like a tail ender if ball is bouncing or moving a bit

I think in 2014 or 15, Michael clark was the aus captain, but he has done a commentary gig while he was taking a break . he took a swipe on few players/captaincy. Then acb made sure to bring a rule that no active player takes a dig on his own team mates. A huge controversy erupted when swann strongly criticised kp's autobiography and called it a fiction. both were playing together . common sense should prevail. As long as another player is active , there is a good probability of him being a team mate.In the larger perspective of team harmony, any player should use brain and restraint till one of them retires.

They may end up playing together in other formats. It will be awkward. There are some default answers to questions like this. There is a difference between a normal fan saying this and your colleague saying this.
well right answer to question

Babar is currently out of form and hopefully he regains it soon

You can be a crap player and still critise someone else.

What kind of rule is this? You can't judge someone if you yourself are avg?

If Babar Criticised Muhammad Haris then I doubt anyone would care.

The only issue is that Babar Fans cannot make punching bags out of Sunny, Sehwag, Ponting, and many others who have voiced similar remarks and even more brutal remarks then Haris.

no i cant be a crap player and Criticise another while being in same team and give advice on batting technique. There is a place and time for these things. This was not it

When Babar said i would have preferred Naseem over Bumrah reactioins were mixed. But i was okay with his answer because he didn't want to show his team mate in poor light which is not a terrible thing.

A lot of times Babar has thrown Harris under the bus for poor shot selection in a crunch phase. There are post match pressers in which Babar has openly named Harris and tried to deflect the criticism to him for PZ games.

Harris must be thinking to himself, “what else am I supposed to do when this clown keeps putting pressure on our team with his stupid tuk tuk and wasting of the powerplay? How else are we supposed to get to a proper score on this flat deck??”

I think Harris is absolutely in the right for openly calling out Babar. Fair is fair!

We'll have to agree to disagree brother. I'm a huge advocate of free speech. If babar were to fight back on twitter or publicly I wouldn't complain either

its ok if you disagree

Free Speech is good if you are an outsider.
active player , Part of team. Another player also part of same team not only at national but psl as well. it leaves a bad taste and team unity is questioned. Better not let these personal opinions be made public and create rift among fans.

If you are retired player , you can be Tanverr ahmed and advise Kohli for all i care. i would nt mind that

Sana Mir is right. He has put spotlight on him and that will create unnecessary pressure on him to perform
This part i agree on from both babar and Haris.

Haris has put the spotlight on him to perform with this statement and babar gets such spotlight on a day by day basis.

However lets wait for the tri series to conclude

He’s used to it by now

He openly went against the norm a couple of years ago and said it’s easy to make statpad 50s as an opener if you play for yourself in T20s.

He doesn’t care.

lets hope he can perform

so far he has gotten lot of chances

its not competition of free speech and spirit. Its a sport and you need to belong to make such remarks

Harris is the kind of guy who’s rare performances buy him a long rope

No need to worry. He won’t lose his spot as long as this management remains
If he doesn't perform he likely will be booted however its comical to hate a guy who's been avg 30+ with a sr of 150+ at no 3.

People looking at his overall stats forgot how crappie they are under babar azam captaincy, jeez I wonder why

Lol what a joke.

Barking about babar, and than fails to hit the ball against afg...

He should remember his auqaat

Guys, however bad Babar has been in T20's, what Harris said should be reason enough to drop him from the side.....

Surely, everyone here can understand why?

Pretty sure the victims of the flood won’t be too pleased to have Babar coming out to bat.

The 10,000pkr per 6 for every flood victim will be impractical.
The victims of the flood have too much to worry about than being concerned about who is playing a charity match.
But you showed your lack of concern for the victims with your dimwitted statement.

We live in a world where stating a total of 2 words turns you into the Joker.

For god sakes give it a rest.

Based of the drama one would think Babar is mother Theresa and Haris is the witch from hansel and gratel.

Rubbish player, rubbish human being.
“Babar Azam is not a player who will hit sixes. He only hits sixes when he is set and spinners are operating. I have never seen him using his feet to fast bowlers or hitting sixes over the covers; it’s not his game as he plays safe cricket by hitting on the ground. So, he consistently scores runs and his strike-rate isn’t great,”

Who said this?

Even if what Haris is saying is true, he should have had the sense to dodge the question

It doesn't look nice to say things like that about another active player.

Even this assessment is incorrect. He's one of the worst players of spin lol. In his prime he is better at hitting sixes vs pace then spin lol

I think he should've said "no comment". Diplomacy was needed here.

Journalist shouldn't have asked this question. It was an idiotic question to ask an active player.

Haris is totally spot on and represents the voice of the real fans of Pakistan cricket.
With a SR of 90 across his last 7 T20Is, Pakistani fans would prefer him to walk the talk himself instead of representing the voice of the real fans.

Someone said he is the new Imad Wasim and I agree. 100% attitude and mouth, 0% performance.

he is not 360 actually he is Mr 3.60
He certainly bats like someone who has an IQ of 3.60.

One of the worst “batsmen” I have ever seen. He runs his mouth because he doesn’t have the talent to let his bat do the talking.

A guy who averages less than 26 in all formats of the game at all levels is playing international cricket. What a joke.

I fail to understand what's so special about him and why he has been given this long rope?

Any batsman who doesn’t score any runs is in the good books of these idiotic fans.

If you are a batsman and you score runs, which is what you are supposed to do, you will be labeled “selfish” and someone who plays for milestones.

But if you suck at your job and don’t score any runs, you will be praised for being selfless. 🤣

Just potential but in reality he can only do what once in a blue moon.
I’ll take that

I’ll always pick the player for what he can do on his best day

Not the one does regularly with 100-120sr in the powerplay

There had to be some intelligence and merit to the criticism. The other day, a bunch of posters were mocking his decision to play in the flood relief charity match because he wants to stat-pad.

That is how low some people are stooping. That’s the gutter mentality of our fans. How shameful.

What’s happening in Punjab is a joke to these people living in the West.

They should get PTI supporters to fill the stadium to test it out. If it collapses, it is fine. It will not be a loss of valuable life.
