Pakistan has won a grand total of 2 Asia cups in 40 plus years history even when they were supposedly best in Asia. They only reached 5 finals. So they were not even no.2 in many instances going by this. No.1 no.2 ranking is out there in ICC ranking. India has been no.1 since 2022.

AFG has been having issues with batting for long time. They also seem to have stage fright. I don’t think they are top two as of now. May be SL or even Pak if they get their batting sorted out. BD also have a shot at becoming second best provided they show some consistency for few years.

Forget second best, when SRL had their legends, even IND could not even touch them between the periods of 2000-2014. BD only rivalry is against them is who can do better Nagin Dance.

They helped us this time. We helped them in 2022 by losing against them, they wind up winning the championship.

After SL legends retired, gap between BD and SL reduced.

For example, In T20, these two sides have played 15 matches in T20 in the last 10 years. SL won 8 and BD won 7.

In ODI, BD won two ODI series against them and also beat them in 2023 WC.

It is only in Test, where SL continued to dominate BD even after the retirements of their legends.

2007 SRL knocked you right out of group stage of WC. In 2011 WC you did beat them in the Final with your legendary team consisting of Tendulkar. They also knocked you out in 2014 T20 WC.

Not dominate but yes India vs Sri Lanka was fairly competitive in that era ( 1997-2014)

The only time Sri Lanka dominated India was 1996-97 due to Jayasuriya factor
