"We are lacking a bit of pace and that is a genetic thing" : Ottis Gibson

Taskin and Ebadot both consistently bowled above 135 whenever i saw them. That guy is obviously fit enough when he bowled that long spell reversing it and breaking the back of the nzl batting when it looked like the game was meandering at 2 down. Looks like they are finally producing good quicks.

I've seen Ebadot bowl a number of times. In the last series against Pakistan and before during Bangladesh's tours of India and Pakistan.

He was absolute rubbish and could produce little to no lateral movement with the ball, eventhough he had some pace. The fact that he was able to produce that here and bowl an incredibly disciplined line-and-length speaks volumes about how Ottis Gibson has been able to help him and other Bangladesh pace-bowlers.

He deserves a great deal of credit for this win.

Of all the Asian bowling attacks, Pakistan have bowled the worst in the southern hemisphere in the last decade and have struggled to take 20 wickets .

Looks like PAK bowlers have serious genetic issues.

Same thing was said about India but look at tham know so I don't believe in genetic thing it's load of B

Tbh how many fast bowlers of India has come from west bengal? Genetics does seem to play a role here

Ebadot said he is from BD air force. So obviously he is fit coming from military discipline

So basically, you need to be fit to be a decent pacer. Has nothing to do with genetics.

Taskin is also fit, probably the most fit athlete in the BD team after Mushfiqur.

This genetic thing is non-sense when it comes to being a good pacer.

It is about being fit, developing memory muscles for bowling fast, having a reasonable height(you can't be 5 feet tall), desire to keep learning, and finally decent competition to push yourself in your domestic setup.

BD should have most of it if not all. Domestic could be the one that needs more improvement. With such a large cricket-mad population, it won't be hard to develop pacers as long as some good planning is done.

#WorldT20 winning Head Coach with the West Indies as well as the former Head Coach of South Africa, with successful stints in the past as the Fast Bowling Coach of England & Bangladesh, Ottis Gibson joins the Sultans as our Assistant and Fast Bowling Coach!

strange comment from the coach , also I have seen in Europe lot of strong people from south india and sirilanka(mainly tamils) who are 2nd gen immigrants , Bangladeshis are genetically related to those dravidians , so race excuse doesnt exist.

Good appointment by Multan Sultans.

Wealth of experience and it will be interesting to see what he can do with the likes of Dahani etc.
