I watched the match, in no point during our whole innings, did we look even close to chasing this down.. the result was NEVER in doubt..

Our batsmen looked scared to face their pace bowlers Cummins and Starc

Everyone took their time to get their eye in.. spent time at the crease, then when the run rate went above 6 we started to throw our wickets away

Australia looked in cruise control, at ease throughout the match.. it seemed as if they knew we will eventually give in and fall like a pack of cards

This is a worrying sign, we looked so poor as a side, I feel we don't deserve to qualify for this World Cup

May be you are right. Pak should stop playing ODI for a while. In that period they should rebuild the domestic by investing high and prepare good talents for international. Till then, no ODI.
 
Pakistan batting is letting them down big time. Highest score of 33 on this pitch is a travesty.
 
Under Azhar we will not qualify for sure.
If Australia field their U-17 players we may win 1-2 matches. Australia A, U-19 team or top league teams are even better than our main XI
 
I think it will be fitting if we don't. This will expose this Sethi-SHK mafia and their dreadful policies. Also karma will come to bite Misbah's 4 years of ODI reign. It would be perfect!

Azhar wasn't bad as far captaincy but he is an awful ODI player and can't justify his place in the ODI team. He is just a misfit for this format. This is why making him ODI captain was very foolish. He just doesn't have any other mode than tests.

One correct coach
One correct mindset
One complete determination
An entire set up dedicated to making the change

England changed their fortunes within a year after the 2015wc and they were as bad. If they can do it, im sure we can do it too. PCB needs to consult the ECB in my opinion and rebuild like that.
 
Keep in mind this is not our first choice 11. Our best 2 accumulators (Malik and Sarfraz) are missing. But, if we are not able to chase 300 with them then we really don't deserve to qualify for world cup directly.
 
Who would play in place of Pakistan if they didn't qualify? Ireland? Netherlands? Afghanistan?

Probaly Afghanistan, they have two world class players in Nabi and Rashid and they will Inshallah gave a good run for their moneys including Indians, Pakistan doesnot deserve to qualify, even my suggestion to all boards is to ban them from Lois, just play couple odd tests in a year with 90s mindset:yk3:misbah
 
Meh over reaction once again. Pakistan will play in the 2019 World Cup for sure. Teams very well know that they can't take pakistan lightly in the world cups that too in England.

It'll take at least 5 years to yield results assuming everything goes perfection.

England actually have players of ODI capability.

I see none in Pakistan.
 
Well if we don't qualify then we obviously don't .

In those conditions , most teams are better than us

England had the domestic set up to do it. Pakistan, on the other hand has the worst domestic setup of all test nations (except Zimbabwe).

You might even go on to win the next WC, but that would only be a flash in the pan. Unless you dont fix your domestic structure, your cricket will struggle in the long run.
 
There will always be a World Cup with Pakistan in it.
 
Pakistan is still better than Bangladesh and west Indies in ODI, I reckon.

Domestic structure is as same as it was during 90s and 80s . It is producing good and quality players. The problem is that proper and fair chance should be given on regular basis.
 
Lol. Pakistan will qualify for the WC contrary to what you may say and no matter how mnany angry threads you make. First off, there is no team that could replace us and give a worthy opposition to the Top 5 ODI teams and actually have a chance of winning. And secondly, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh (especially away from home) are far worse or just as bad as us.
And thirdly, I'm sure everyone hopes Pakistan is in the WC because even if we have a poor team we have that unpredictability factor of beating any team in the world on our day, the way we beat South Africa last time. And that is something fans of game enjoy regardless of whichever team they support.

A team captained by hafeez and players like wahab, rahat, malik, akmal, azhar deserves to be kicked out of the world cup.

Bangladesh beat us they are better than us in many ways. Look at their gutsy captain and batting performance they have an attacking mindset.

Do you really think PCB even worry about that. Look at hockey. Our hockey rank is 12-14 and still in PHF there is struggling for power. We missed to qualify in Olympic but nothing has happened
 
If we get whitewash by Australia then PCB will be panicked and keep same players hoping to win series against WI. After WI whitewash they will be desperate to win against Bangladesh and will be whitewashed again. After that we will be too scare to drop someone in case we loose in qualifier. If we miss the World Cup, PCB will give some fake hope speech and they will select almost same team baring drop 1-2 players

No only Shabbir and Mustafizur are promising for them.They have improved definitely but by their own standards not by world standard.Pakistan needs to get rid of TTF and give younger guys chance even if they fail. Also I forgot Pakistan better than sri Lanka as well which is joke of a team.
 
We will bounce back and win the rest of the ODIs in sha Allah. Our LOIs team looks better than the Test team.
 
Will take few years to recover from Misbah era . Now the chief selector continuing same old school , persisting with players who are older, failed and scared to face quality bowling , future in not looking rosy. Dying to see SYK, Inzimam and Misbah to leave.
