Abdul Razzaq in an interview:

“To be frank, I'm not just saying this because I'm from Pakistan, but we should be no.1 in the rankings. The way we are performing in all the three departments; batting, bowling, and fielding, we can see a unity in this side"

“I have full hopes that in the upcoming ICC tournaments, Pakistan team will perform and finish at the top"

On Babar Azam:

“It's his time to deliver. He has been performing for the past 4-5 years. I hope that he will be able to continue with the same momentum and become no.1 across all formats"

“If he continues like this, it's good for Pakistan team and Pakistan cricket.”

Razzaq is overdosing on spinach again. Our Test spinners are possibly the weakest of all Asian sides, and we just lost to Australia at home who have been beaten black and blue in Asia over the last 10 years.

Pakistan would have destroyed Australia were it not for the pitches, we had the resources to beat them. If a demoralised Lanka could do it, so could Pakistan but they messed up big time due to Ramiz. Razzaq is right, Pak are a world beating team but just need a bit of organisation and shrewd planning.

P.S Spinach is good for you :afridi

I will be very surprised if it was only Ramiz. I am pretty sure Babar wanted these kind of pitches. He is a very defensive safety-first captain - a bit like Joe Root. Batting pitches that could break after lunch on 4th day, after Pakistan has completed at least one innings, would be his choice.

If you recall, Babar vehemently defended the pitches.

On topic, Razzaq is setting up for a grand attack once Pakistan do poorly.

First Waqar, now Razzaq. Alhamdulillah, humaray leygends. If Pakistan lose to SL in this upcoming test series along with flopping in the WT20, there’ll be a lot of surprised Pikachu faces among our leygends (at least probably for these two).

Pakistan are very good currently but #1 is a stretch. They are more like #4 or #5.

You can't cry foul about a pitch which was the same for both teams and in the same para claim to be world-beaters.
