Wahab Riaz speaking on TV:

"I can't tell you how much we are missing playing cricket at home. We have to play our home games in UAE and sometimes you might get a bit of a crowd and sometimes you won't."

"The amount of love and support we received at the PSL final makes the heart feel like we should play all our cricket in Pakistan, I don't have words for it. It was amazing."

"Convincing the foreign players took some time. We were just trying to constantly tell them that Pakistan is a safe country and not how it was portrayed and that they'd come and see it and enjoy. They were shocked when they came and saw the amount of support from fans, and they were saying why don't we have cricket here. Hats off to everyone who made this possible."

"The match against Karachi was very important for us but I knew that till Gayle and Pollard were there, the game was out of our hands and I told Sammy that too. I've played against Gayle many times and he hasn't ever really been able to hit me thankfully. So I had confidence to bowl yorkers and slower balls to him and I completely deceived him with a slower ball."

"The foreign cricketers left with a lot of positive feedback and their perception of Pakistan has changed. They will also spread positivity about the country and that is evident in their tweets etc."

"Next year we should have the opening ceremony and the playoffs in Pakistan, at least. Inside two years insha'Allah, we should aim to revive cricket in Pakistan."

"I became emotional during the playoff as my father had recently passed away. We both loved each other a lot and he was very close to cricket. He had been suffering from liver cancer for around 5 years and had been fighting it but suddenly passed and that was very difficult for me as I hadn't had a chance to meet him for around 5 months as I was busy with international duty and he was at home. He didn't want people to tell me how bad his condition was. He had said that earlier that he wanted to stay with me during PSL in Dubai and then attend the final in Lahore together too. So I remembered him when we won the playoff and was overwhelmed with emotions, my sabr broke at the time. I couldn't understand anything else at the time. To be honest, I wanted to skip some matches but my mother and sister convinced me saying that I should fulfil my father's dreams as he was always very happy when I played cricket. If he was here today then I don't think anyone would be happier than him."

"Usman Shinwari looked quite impressive out of the young fast bowlers but the thing is that in UAE most of the teams prefer to rely on spinners. When we move back to Pakistan then it's possible that fast bowlers will play a bigger role."

"Besides Usman Shinwari, I wasn't impressed with too many of the young pacers - the others who did well are already involved with the Pakistan team."

"Irfan Jr. is impressive but he is inexperienced. It's his first year and coming to PSL from domestic cricket and performing straight away is difficult. He was still doing quite a good job. There are some pacers like Ehsan Adil and Fahim Ashraf who didn't get a chance this year."

Should have the entire tournament in Pak. The elections next year will also have to be taken on board.

O Wahab why did you say that many matches be held in Pakistan.
Now PP's sharp shooters will be aiming for your head.

Well. we are all awaiting cricket to come home and if they possibly do play off matches in Pakistan then it will be very good and if the whole tournament then OWWWW.
