A bit late in posting about the ongoing BCCI v ICC fight for the revenue model, but it was good to see ICC taking a firm stand against the BCCI and not giving in to the BCCI's unrealistic demands

Also BCCI need to be kept under control. There are 106 ICC members, 10 full members. And the interests of everyone need to be protected rather than looking after just the BCCI

Big 3 was a disastrous model and BCCI was doing well even before the Big 3 model came, so there was no need to go for the Big 3 model. The current model increases BCCI's share about 4 times of what it was in the model before Big 3 model came and BCCI should be more than happy with that

And well done ICC. BCCI lost by 9-1 and ICC should not allow BCCI to bully and should not give in to the BCCI's demands at all

Question now is whether they can stand up to the pressure exerted by the BCCI or not.

OR was this just a sham to show that they have teeth?

Not one of these administrators, roaring like lions now, would have so much as let out a peep if N Srinivasan was still monarch of all he surveyed( And I am saying as a person who despised the man). The BCCI is at its lowest ebb in decades, with two generations of administrators effectively airbrushed from the game’s governance by Supreme Court-approved reforms.

Once the changes sought by the Supreme Court have been implemented, in part or in full, you can be sure that those men humiliated in Dubai, and the dozens back home they spoke for, will plot their own payback. And the more impoverished boards around the world, that have suddenly decided the time is right to stand up for themselves, could be the ones that regret these actions the most.

India will not do anything stupid like pulling out of the Champions Trophy because the administrators understand that there would be a backlash from millions of fans. But once June has passed, the empire will strike back. And no one connected with the game will be the better for it.

Well done indeed but it has to be seen if the ICC crumbles on the BCCIs threat to pull out of the CT and future ICC events. I hope not, even if it means no India in CT and womens WC.

India's claim that cricket cannot survive without it are plain baseless, no team, no player, no country is bigger than the game. India needs the world of cricket as much as crickeying world needs India.
BCCIs idea of nothing giving any share to the associate nations and taking 570 million USD is not only wrong but shameless.

Think you are confusing cricket with a plot of a movie!
