Seems like the world’s totally fine playing without India in Pakistan, but meanwhile, some Indians are over here arw like,

“Oh no, please include us! Our government won’t let us play in Pakistan, so maybe just move the whole tournament somewhere else?”

So now it's up to the PCB to decide if they’ll listen to these bachare Indians' pleas.

World is equal to Pakistan?

PCB should boycott the india games only not the whole CT. Makes no sense

Given BCCI clout in this matter, Pakistan should get on with the Hybrid Model, but make sure enough games in Pakistan and just India games in UAE etc

As a sign of protest, Pakistan should boycott the whole CT.

If you boycott only against India then it shows you weak and lack of strong principle.

I don't mind India dropping out of CT. Ideally Pakistan should go ahead and conduct tournament without India. Sure there will be financial implications. But that is expected. Can't do much about it.

I think it will ultimately result in a hybrid model with Pakistan and India playing the final in Dubai.

Why not ask BCCI to come and play instead of trying to shift the whole event for their own selfishness???
Just to be fair, why not the ICC tell BCCI to take a hike, get SL in and keep the event in Pakistan?

That boat has already sailed and the PCB is not in it.

PCB has been agreeing to play BCCI in ICC events for over a decade. Add to that all the various statements by PCB officials about series with India.

This time it is different.

Pakistan is host. That carries a lot of gravity.

Pakistan should boycott the whole tournament (not just match vs India) to take a moral stand and stand up against the corporate evil which is ICC.

Under no circumstances, PCB should agree to this model.

You are given a hosting right. Now you have to share because some x, y, z country doesn't want to visit? How is that your problem?

If that is the case, you shouldn't have been given hosting right in the first place!

Thats a big insult from ICC to PCB. and thus PCB should stand on its ground and refuse to make any compromise which may put dent in the moral and ethical standing.

the things will be clear in next few days about where the whole drama is going. ICC is demanding hybrid model but PCB is stuck on hosting although it might not work in the end.

If this Mr Yourine has balls then stand up in ICC meeting and take CT to Pakistan, just watch outhow he will bend over and from BCCI to ECB everyone will shove over him.

Hybrid model it will be otherwise Pakistan willbe thrown out of CT.

PCB has no more cards left. What happen in Islamabad has totally destroyed PCB's and Pakistan's claims of political and security stability in Pakistan. The ICC can easily highlight this episode and the fact our stadiums are not ready as proof that the country is not ready to hold an ICC event.

BCCI has more cards than PCB. PCB is heavily dependent on ICC handouts i.e. 50-60%. There is no way they are going to forgo all of that.

Oh dear all these ultimatums from Indian fans that Pakistan had to do this that and other in 24, 48 hrs etc. Thinking Pakistan were going to roll over.

All the salty digs, all the so called ethics and moral lessons trying to be taught..

It's good when arrogance gets slapped back in someone's face.

Some of these Indian fans act like they themselves are in charge of BCCI. LOL.

Reading through the comments from Indians and some anti Naqvi Pakistanis gives me a good chuckle. I’ll be coming back to this thread whenever I need a good chuckle. :D

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) faces potential revenue losses, lawsuits, and alienation from the cricket world if it decides to withdraw from the ICC Champions Trophy due to a deadlock with the ICC over the tournament's organization. The PCB has signed a host agreement and a mandatory members participation agreement (MPA) with the ICC, making them eligible for a share of the event's revenues. Withdrawing from the tournament could lead to lawsuits from the ICC, other member boards, and the broadcaster, as it would impact estimated revenues for all stakeholders.

The PCB is being pressured to accept a Hybrid model, which acknowledges Pakistan's stance of not playing in India during ICC events while agreeing that semifinals and finals of all ICC events scheduled in India in the coming years would be held in India, even if Pakistan qualifies. The PCB lacks solid support from other members on the executive board, and the ICC management has not given them the respect they deserve, having ignored the issue of whether India would send its team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.

Naqvi saab has shown real spine throughout the year, in and out of Pakistan. Defense of Islamabad was as epic as the battle of Helm's Deep. Now, single handedly taking on the Goliath of BCCI money power, he is the David of the epic tales! Once in a century leader, Pakistan is blessed to have such a great visionary. :salute
