Were Khalid Latif and Khurram Manzoor treated harshly in ODIs by selectors?

In a country where Youngsta Beauties who show 'Class', 'Technique', 'style' & 'Talent" gets endless chances to proves themselves, there are two guys with monstrous List A records who were just given 7 & 5 ODIs to prove themselves...

Aren't they treated harshly???

Khalid Latif is fine, he should be in the next squads. I didn't mind seeing Manzoor for Asia Cup, but after seeing his technique, he should never play for Pakistan ever again

Khalid latif is similar to misbah in odis , not technically but his approach towards building his innings. He struggles to rotate strike and banks on sixes too much and worse is he is rubbish on off side. He may succeed but internation teams will easily work him out.

whether they are international quality or not, its difficult to say when they are consistently selected for the wrong formats by ***** selectors and afridi, and then not given an opportunity to settle. khurram for example was picked for a t20 tournament after a very good outing in a domestic one day tournament - how can anyone expect any other result?

Rizwan was terrible this pak cup totally failed in pressure conditions

did you see their selfish batting chasing 300+ total against Imran Khan snr.? They both lead Karachi team out of the tournament with their pathetic innings. Sometimes it's best to see the games and watch their ability instead of looking at averages and series runs.

I'm not aggressive. I'm just saying stats are not always everything. Players should be picked based on skills,technique,their age(can they play for Pakistan for long time) etc.

Khurrum has been picked for Asia cup and he was out in single digits in every game. Not only he failed to make any significant score but he showed atrocious technique. Khurrum was recalled for Pakistan test side 3 times and he failed to make any changes in his awful technique. Even on his last comeback in the Asia cup he was still getting caught at slip with his square drives.

Players should be picked based on skills,technique,their age(can they play for Pakistan for long time) etc.

Agreed, and in my view, this disqualifies both Khurram (skills, technique) and Kamran (technique, age) from selection.

We need to move on from these tried and tested players.

Selectors somehow saw Khurram as a test specialist and Latif as a T20 specialist. Also, they didn't do much good to themselves with their low strike rates whenever they played.

if they have a good PSL they might get recalled for the WI tour as these two hail from the same place as Sarfraz who will be the new captain.. I think Mickey will happily take Khalid latif as he has done well with the T20 team so far....
