I also noticed that. Rohit has the ability make up for the slow starts when he starts hitting sixes but the problem is if he fails under 40/50 he hurts the team.

Rohit should never, ever change his role, he is by far the best opener in the world and the second best of all time.

We saw that in the last two world cups (and T20 world cup too)... He is past it... (He may still win us these low profile matches! But who cares, he failed in the important ones!) Kohli is a different player and different captain... All he needs is aggressive players and settled players (batsmen & bowlers - Perfect XI) like how he is clicking in Test Format... There are lot of passengers (and unsettled players) in this team and that's why its affecting the results... We actually can do well without Dhoni (like Asia Cup)...

Kohli should either find those right players OR should learn to workaround with available resources (like Rohit Sharma in Asia Cup!). Also it won't be a bad idea to give LOI captaincy to Rohit Sharma if it doesn't hurt anyone's ego... This is much better idea than having Dhoni in the team & depending on his ghost captaincy!

I wouldn't play jadeja in my odi team, he doesn't pick enough wickets to be selected on his bowling alone and he isn't a good enough batsman to be in the team as an A/R. I think rohit, kohli, iyer, pant, pandya, kuldeep/chahal and bumrah are the only certain picks.

Dhawan will not play 2023 wc, frankly he shouldn't be playing the 2020 t20 one either, pandey is a ranji basher, he never comes up with the goods in internationals, he isn't consistent enough to be no 4 and isn't attacking enough to be 5. Shami will taper off in 2 years and even at his best he leaks runs.

Despite our pathetic batting (except for Kohli-Rohit) in LoIs for quite sometime now, its amazing to see Gill not getting a single chance for close to a year now. And that after our first choice opener Dhawan is injured.

Kohli is one pathetic selector especially in shorter formats.
