Pakistan | 2/176 | 41 Overs | Need 45 runs to win from 54 balls

6 off the over!

May be its tough to bat on that wicket. I am not watching the telecast. But if it doesnt have much to do with the conditions then i would say its not a very fine chase. You're building a team for the future. The guys need to be taught how to maintain that pace regardless of the small target. Practice already for the bigger ones :jm

wicket is bit slow ... outfield is slow ..

ahmed shehzad getting back his form . nearing his 100

but ... we score 220 in 40 overs in the last game ... just 2 days back

so its not necessary to score the same score in same number of overs

we can play according to situation ..

inshallah we will finish the game ..

I hope today's innings silences all the critics of Shehzad...if the innings against NZ wasn't proof enough of his talent, than today his application should solidify his potential...

should be funny if :misbah does not let :ahmed score his maiden 100

Single took with two balls remaining. Take a single Shehzad. Want to see you at the other end :(

The pitch looks pretty good to bat on. Shehzad has always struggled against the spinners and same was the case today. They squeezed the life out of him. It also might be due to uncertainty surrounding is place in the side.. the selfish approach to the innings coming in ...

However;

When you are building a team, dominated by youngsters, for the future, the first step is to adopt a winning habit. Learn to chase targets with mature knocks. Not to throw wickets away. It is only at the later stages when you look to demolish the opposition by knocking off the target well before 50 overs :)

You're right too though. The focus here is more on doing the basics right rather than trying to be flashy. Good stuff. I think you guys would be happy to see your team chase a big total next time , just to see how they go now that you are 2-nill ahead

Started poorly. Had a testing time against the spinners. Finally got some rhythm against the fast bowlers. Biggest positive was that he didn't throw his wicket away.

Good sign, haven't even watched him play once. The kid has it in him to score those hundreds . Special :sachin

Misbah can play so many dot balls in middle of the over. But on the last ball of every over, he has to take singals

In a match where all bowlers bowled economically
Sammy : 10-0-52-0
Why did he have to bowl his full quota of 10?

What I'd love to see him do is knock the ball around in the middle overs and get those singles.. beat the fielders in the ring and keep the scoreboard ticking. That didn't happen today..

That is what seems lacking. Either its a boundary or a block..
