West Indies should bring back pace. Or maybe not, sarfaraz might be extra greedy vs spinners.

Not watching the Pakistan match but definitely following the thread to see how well the Pakistan team, India is scared of playing is doing against the Windies
 
This guy Nurse is actually a good LO bowler, quite intelligent & varying his pace.

AND forgot to say Pakistan batting can put anyone to sleep so good to see you following IPL while Pakistan is batting - any one would do the same :jimmy
 
Sarfaraz's captaincy will be tested again today. Will he bowl part timers, or try to get wickets.
 
Is the pitch really that hard?

Unfortunatey you cant tell anything from Pakistan batting.
 
ok i have seen enough of this match... this pitch is not 300+ pitch. the ball is staying a bit low, not coming on bat nicely plus also turning.250-270 will be a good score. but shadab and imad/hafeez will need to bowl very aggressively to take wickets.

as a spinner, you will need to bowl a bit fast in air and will need to pitch the ball ahead on this pitch. windies will not take any risk against shadab and will try to neutralize him so he will need to turn the ball sharpely and sarfraz will need to have aggressive wicket taking field.

Lol I have not even watched one ball of IPL for the past four five years. This was posted on my fb and I copy pasted here for the comedic benefit of my fellow Pakistanis. You are surely adding to the comedy effect :))

I think, he is batting around SR of 80 after first few overs. But, now needs to play till end, to post a fighting total, which should be around 250.

Yes and is leading wicket taker in regional tourney.

Also picked up 14 wickets in a first class match.

And he says i watch what the batsmen is doing before pitching the ball.

Our batsmen are having trouble.

And there is a poster here who says he can hit every 2nd ball of Nurse out of the park.

The posters on PP nowadays ...
 
unfortunately, a lot of posters on this forum don't understand their cricket that well. they just presumed that this is the same pitch like the other day and that Pak will need to score 330+ to win the match and started to criticize every plyer for playing slow. they dint even pay attention to pitch and the wayball is spinning and not coming on bat nicely. oh bhai, pehlay pitch ko study to kar lao. deep sigh

Hahaha ! I can imagine . Kohli may need some meditation classes prior to the matches or he will lose his mind with that batting and just take the fielders off the field

You could be right. This is a match winning total.
 
Babar said he idolized de Villiers, perhaps confused him for Amla or Kallis.

He said park - not cricket ground. It might be in his backyard, you never know ..... even I can clear 15 metres in alternate balls, if I don't bother for the other ball to be stumped or bowled ...

No intent from babar to actually score boundaries.. letting the bowlers dictate terms. Poor batting.
 
The only good thing about Hafeez's batting today was that his wicket gave Pakistan a run instead.

You need ability too , its one think idolizing and the other thing actually doing it. He does not have that ability to score boundaries at will.

Pakistan will win this match, but you are grossly mistaken if you think our approach is dictated by the pitch. No, it is dictated by our incompetence, which will be exposed in England in a few months. This win means nothing.

incorrect babar had 43 off 50 balls. hafeez had 28.
totally different. right now babar needs to stay until the end and finish on 130 off 120.
the other day was different. they had 60 -0 off 10.
today was 45-2
totally different game

right now he needs to stay until the end and get 130.
if he gets out now we could struggle to get 250.

I think, running isn't the biggest problem today - those two were 10th & 11th boundary in 33 overs. The surface is slower than last match.
 
Frustrating from Pakistan again.

Need to move on from Akmal, Hafeez etc. It's been said before, but these players are tried and tested failures.

Invest in new aggressive players. Shadab is a good find. Need to invest 2-3 more new fresh players

So, I am trying to get my predictions right, will sarfaraz be out of odi team after CT or by next year.
 
250 could be a competitive total here but the way we approach batting is just awful. You could give Pakistan a 400 run pitch and we would still be 130-4 after 30 overs. The mindset is still set on trying to score 100 in the last 10 and not worry about your score after 40 overs.

Azhar was captain for 2 year despite ZERO victories. It is safe to say Sarfaraz will be around for a while no matter how much it hurts you.

I know he's playing better than Hafeez that day.My comment was sort of a jibe.But Babar has slowed down tremendously,he's now 62 off 80.
 
I'm only following on Cricinfo- but Sarfraz seems like a breath of fresh air from the typical batting

he ABSOLUTELY needs to bat in the top 5
