Can't afford to slow down in this middle period again. Need to keep looking for boundaries.
 
Sharjeel is done, such pathetic approach towards your fitness shows your passion for the game and to become world class player. He needs to be shown door, either improve your fitness to international standards or dont come back.
 
Rizwan has made it look easy than it is out there. Ball is sticking a bit and there is some turn as well

Fielding is hardly significant unless you are replaced by a really poor fielder like Azam. No Russell but Bravo is back, and Simmons is not really that good,and is left out for his poor performance in last match.
 
Shadab, Usman, Hafeez will be loving watching the turn on this pitch.
 
Sharjeel wasted a good start on a good surface however he did his job and laid good foundation. I like right and left combination and babar at no.3
 
10 runs from these last two overs. Unless we get off to an absolute flyer, Babar at #3 is not ideal, especially when we’re trying to set a target.
 
These guys can only tuk tuk until the 12th or 13th over and then one of them has to go for the big shots.

Way too many power hitters in the back that need to be utilized

Issue is none of the power hitters is dependable so these two will have to make as much base as possible to prevent Pak from collapsing and not even achieving 150

If it’s a icc ko game Fakhar Sharjeel more likely to take Pak home. If it’s meaningless bilaterals then Baba & Rizwan are the guys !

Unfortunately this is true. Pak middle order can no longer be trusted with more than 5 or 6 overs to produce runs. We won't even be able to complain when Malik comes back to plug the gap.

Left right combo is good but Sharjeel needs to do more.

He was satisfied with the way things were going which is fine but, you dont need a Sharjeel for that even Babar can analyze that and do that in a much better way with better running. You want Sharjeel to play his game which is going after the bowling and not sit back. Even in PSL he took too many balls to get going, thats not what Pak needs currently. With the way Rizwan was going, if Sharjeel would have executed his game the total after 6 overs could have been 10 or 15 runs more.

If Sharjeel doesn’t produce that difference than not sure what exactly does he add as Pak was already scoring 50 odd in 6 overs on almost every match. Still early days since comeback but, needs to create an impact in the series
 
This is what happens when Babar doesn’t open. 28 off 26 and killing all the momentum.

Babar could have done exactly what Sharjeel did today but no we need Sharjeel to be our “aggressor”
 
170 is a good score here and defendable if you bowl well....slow pitch and ball not coming on the bat and some turn aswell

These guys need to switch to top gear now .. 12 overs gone, 9 wickets in hand.. not sure what is the plan really

Sure, but that doesn’t mean that Babar and Rizwan should be going at 6 rpo in the middle overs. This complete momentum killing will cost us against top teams.

Fair question. I think they need to be balanced while walking on this thin rope where they can’t completely sit back but at the same time dont lose their wicket while developing the base and think last 7-8 overs is reasonably safe to get going.
 
Should be pushing on. Not scoring quick enough.

What has sharjeel done in any game let alone icc high pressure match which has bought you to this conclusion, or are you another fantasist who struggles to see the reality in front of them, because I would back rizwan 10/10 in any chase on current form compared to any other batter in our team.
 
The problem is the batsmen after these 2 cannot be trusted, we could end up 130 all out very quickly if these 2 try hit out now and fail.

Losing wickets in line and struggling to get 150 is more of a momentum breaker. However, I completely agree with you that to form a formidable unit you need to keep pushing but, that formidable unit would require some quality as well in the middle order which unfortunately we dont have currently. So aim is to get an above par score idea and give themselves the best chance rather than trying to bat opposition out of the game and struggling to score 150 more often than not.

Couple of good quality middle order batsmen can give much more liberty to Pak as a batting unit. At the moment neither our bowling quality not our batting quality outside of 3-4 players is good enough to win matches against top 3 teams regularly so they just go with the plan is to give themselves the best chance.

As I have said in past, Babar Azam is just a statistical delight. He is an anchor not a match winner in T20s.

Pakistan need a Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant type player in middle order who can hit sixes with ease.

Rizwan & Baba are currently playing 3rd day test match innings they just don’t have the power game
One down and going at 7 an over after 14 is criminal…

Fakhar & sharjeel won’t perform every game theyl win you the odd game given Pak standards these days theyr a god send!!

This is where pak are way behind the big teams. They just don't have batsmanship or power to continue the onslaught through the middle

Rizwan averaging 80 striking at 140 since opening t20 for pak, that is what you call a god send, I can assure a fat overweight hack is definitely not a god send , especially going by Pakistan standards. Remind me what sharjeel done again today , why didn’t he give pak the fast start you crave so badly?
 
If they go sensible should get 160 plus nice and easy. Plenty of fire power to come
