So the first game was, well - for want of a better word - a damp squib!

Now we move to Guyana and do we play the same XI?

Usman Qadir is lucky that he took the wicket of Russell, otherwise, the management would have dropped him for Nawaz, the better spinner.

The only change I'd make is to drop Azam Khan, because he just isn't good enough physically to be on the national team.

I'd replace him with Sohaib, who could still be a useful hitter down the order.

No change in my eyes, didn't get a full game and batsmen would naturally be attacking if the game is reduced to 9 overs. Everyone bowled well to be honest.

Yes, very true about Qadir but still want to give him another game as a confidence booster.

Azam Khan was terrible in the field from what i saw, he can't even make dives to save runs and why is that? Because he's fat people!

On hitting ability, Maqsood and Azam are on the same level.

However, both are horrible fielders, but Maqsood is fitter and can at least rotate strike comfortably.

I'd rather take Maqsood on my team than take Azam Khan, because one performed to get on the team whereas the other, well, the less said the better.

How do you support Sharjeel with that logic?

Azam was quite pathetic in the 3rd t20 vs England.

Moqsood has at least made some decent starts in my view, he's on the verge of making some big scores. Just needs persistence in my view.

Azam is a joke even infront of sharjeel.
Ultimately malik will replace Azam and I am happy for wasim junior to replace haris.
May be bring in Nawaz or Imad in

I would like both Imad and Nawaz in the playing XI in Abu Dhabi.

Should go with the same team unless pitch/conditions demand a change in bowling unit.

Pointless making any changes when it was barely half a game . However the thought of both Azam and Sharjeel in the field is quite worrying .

What on earth are you talking about?

'Can't even make dives to save runs'? He was stood at fine leg and dove like any normal cricketer would, probably put in more effort than any other Pakistani fielder at fine leg would and that's your sentiment? What about his pickup and throw, mind you running backwards, that Hassan Ali fumbled?

Your prejudice is evident and very disappointing

Oh stop with your fatphobic nonsense. Seriously i saw some of his efforts they were poor to say the least.

You can't judge azam based upon that one game.

He might be good for a small late order hit but he's not great as a player who will carry an innings. I'll tell you what i will take it back when he scores more mid 20 scores.

Your not expected to carry an innings batting down the order.all I expect him is to finish off the innings and wins games in the last couple overs am not expecting him to score 50s and 80s

The West Indies return to Guyana and fully vaccinated fans will be able to watch the T20 team in action as they continue preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup later this year.

The reigning T20 World Champions will face-off against Pakistan at the Guyana National Stadium in the final three matches of the Osaka Batteries Presents PSO Carient Cup on Saturday, July 31; Sunday, August 1 and Tuesday, August 3. First ball daily is 11am (10 Jamaica Time). These are the final three T20I matches that the West Indies play in the Caribbean in 2021 prior to the selection of the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup.

The Government of The Republic of Guyana and the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), in partnership with Cricket West Indies (CWI) have come together to ensure fully vaccinated fans can be in attendance. Fully vaccinated fans are those who have received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine two weeks before the date of match they will be attending. Spectators will also need to wear facemasks to gain entry to the matches and then keep wearing masks throughout. Fans will also need to remain socially distanced at all times.

Johnny Grave, CEO of CWI said: “As we make a welcome return to Guyana there is great anticipation and expectation as our passionate loyal supporters will get a chance to see the West Indies in action. This great news for our fans who we know will be eager to attend the three Osaka Batteries Presents PSO Cup West Indies vs Pakistan T20Is at the National Stadium at Providence.

In the build-up to the matches, we have worked with our colleagues at the GCB and the Government make sure all the necessary protocols are in place and all requirements are met to ensure the safety of players and officials, as well as the spectators to the venue. Our T20 team has been in superb form, and we hope to see them continuing in this vein and give the people of Guyana and the whole of the West Indies plenty to shout about.”

How's the weather looking people?

Not great to be honest. Partly sunny with brief showers during morning and afternoon (Possibility of thunderstorms as well). Pretty much same is the weather on the days of all the T20 matches in Guyana with slight variations. These are forecasts at the end and actual situation can vary on the day. Lets see how it goes.

All players and sports staff in the national cricket squad are allowed to train in Guyana All the players in the squad and the sports staff were tested on the previous day The full results of the Covid 19 test are yet to come

Pakistan should not get intimated here by WI big hitters , they need to keep flighting the ball.

Its strange other teams start talking about dropping players when they lose form and refer them back to domestic cricket.

And, here in Pakistan, we dont even have that luxury and never will because we're forever looking for players to fill in vacant spots.

Hey, we never get to that stage where we start considering people's actual performances. Imagine, if we had half a decent talent pool, people like Hafeez would be long gone.

No Maqsood was left out for Azam or Sharjeel.

That is crazy! I know Maqsood hasn't set the world on world but he's shown enough to be given a consistent run in the team!

The management is always talking about needing a power hitter but then they expect them to score in every game that they play! Maqsood's role is high risk high reward but our thick headed management is so impatient!

Maqsood can hit the ball better than most in our team. The guy needs full backing of the management.

Actually, I would like to see.maqsood opening the inning. Coming to your point since they have decided to test the bench strength its fine to rest maqsood as he got to play entire series in england.

Will most likely be rained off. Just need to find something much more interesting to do if it is:inzi! Hafeez must play if we get a shortened match, we know Hafeez means plenty of runs, boundaries and wickets:faf. Despite what his critics say I've always enjoyed watching him play.

I doubt Pak management has the spine to test the bench strength even against Zimbabwe, let alone WI that too after a series loss. I wouldn't be surprised if the management isn't happy with Maqsood's performance and have decided to drop him for now.

Azam Khan has been ruled out of the second and third T20Is against West Indies after sustaining a head injury during the scheduled training session.

A neurosurgeon has recommended an observation period of 24 hours. He will then be reassessed on Monday.

His availability for the final T20I will depend on the reassessment done on Monday.

Babar said that is what they will be doing this series, hence Waim, Azam and Qadir were selected last match, but Azam is injured now, his exclusion is not a bad thing as in my opinion is no where ready for International cricket and he is an embarrassment on field due to stature and possibly fitness. Hope he recovers from his injury. Maqsood is another dud but better than other options we have tried out, except Sharjeel, who management want to only play as opener.
