Pakistan needed to be 217 at the end of the over. All they needed was 1 run from the over if they hadn't lost the wicket. Though before getting a brain fart he did ensure they were still ahead despite losing a wicket.
Shut the hell up, we already had 10 off the over
Afridi special coming up 1 (2) caught skying a rising delivery.
No you wouldn't. If you had not lost the wicket, you only needed 2 runs off the over
It's no speshul if you do it for more than 10 years.
Afridi 1st Ball = OUT
Well we should continue with this team instead of playing with in and out changes again no major changes needed...
and plz can u tell me how can u be so sure that its going to rain till the end and if u are so sure there wount be anymore play then why blame Umar Akmal Pak has already won then

so if match starts now those two boundaries from Umar will be really crucial to the outcome Afridi needs to bat sensibly and win it for Pakistan!
The D/L doesn't necessarily has to come into play. Pakistan is in a lot more comfortable position now than before to win this. Thanks to Akmal.
In whatever scenario you imagine, having Umar's wicket in hand than having one more boundary was more important for Pakistan
Afridi's wicket at this state will really spice things up. I am an Afridi fan and I want him to get out on the first ball.
It will put Misbah into an awesome situation![]()

How? By going for it.
Do you understand risk and reward.
Google it
thats another way to look at it but with a batsman still to come and requiring 17 off 14 shouldnt be hard and that too with Misbah still there
Umpire talking to WI players now. They aren't happy.
Sorry, AFTER Getting `10 runs already, the risk was more than the reward
There is a reason players like Dhoni and Kohli are so much more successful than Umar. They know when the risk taking stops
there is no batsmen to come, only Afridi. Let's wait and see, I have seen Pak lose from easier situations

but he is in the team as an allounder so u have to count him as one
Can't disagree with that. ...
But you are talking about the cream there.
HAHA. I would never put my money on Misbah though as he has messed up many easily achievable targets in the past. Misbah looks calm from the outside but he certainly feels the ropes tighten around his neck in pressure situations.
I normally agre with most things you say Mr Khan. But surely, Umar should have accessed the situation, realized we needed 17 runs from 15 balls, and just taken singles to win the game for us.
As much as I think Kohli is underrated, you dont see him throwing away his innings. Pakistani batsman need to learn how to end a game.
Heck, even the 4 he hit was just a lucky edge the ball BEFORE, LEARN your lesson.
Now it comes down to hit or miss Afridi and the worst tail in cricket today.
Really? I would think a RRR of 8+ with Umar at the crease is more achievable than a RRR of 6.5 with Afridi and the tailenders in. He will miss balls, give his wicket away
