I really think UA is batting too low, this Pak batting lacks spark. You need some attacking guy the kickstart the engine early on. We have Sehwag and the rest of the good teams have good enough stroke makers as well.
The only bright guy you have is batting too low though , waste of talent IMO

Who needs sleeping pills when you have Pakistan playing test cricket and Misbah at the crease!
 
Just checked Misbah's record, first class legend really. Looks like worked a lot to earn a place

Sehwag is a class apart from Umar Akmal at current form. And Sehwag plays his shots with confidence because he knows that he has some very solid batting to follow.

Ya, bring in Younis Khan And Yousuf back into frame and than ask Umar Akmal to open.... it could turn out great for Pakistan. But with the fragility in batting lineup... whether Umar bats up or down the order, he will always be unsure of whether to attack or defend...
 
some really immature people here. All these Afridi vs Misbah debates are pointless. It is this mentality why our cricket is in such a shambles, Captaincy isnt a popularity contest, and is not about someone vs someone else, its disgraceful that people would actually pray for their team to lose just because their favourite player has been dropped.
Lets look at the facts, we are a poor batting side, this has nothing to do with the captain., its because the selectors have dropped our best batsman , and our only half decent opener since Saaed Anwar is corrupt. Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali are ok players, they are nowhere near the same level of class as Moyo or Yousuf, and the fact that people are hailing them as future greats just shows how low our batting stock has fallen.
Misbah is a good batsman and his captaincy has been fairly good in general. Talking about the Afridi debate, Afridi on his day is a world class bowler, however he can look fairly average with the ball at times as well. The less said about his batting the better. He is however a poor captain, he does manage to galvanise the team at times, however he makes very poor tactical decisions, which is the most important aspect of captaincy. He was only made captain due to lack of options at the time, and the PCB should have kept him on for the sake of consistency. The most important thing however is that whoever the Captain, we back them and the team fully, us Pakistani fans are by far the most fair weathered, no matter what the situation our team should get support, the amount of stick we get from the rest of the cricketing community if we dont stand behind them who will ?

Your cricket team however has rellied on aggression rather than on discipline and smart cricket. Huge change in your cricket man, what once was a terrific team to follow has become a mess

May be UA can inspire the batsmen below him by playing positive cricket early on. Would rather have him at #4
 
indian board might agree for a series against pakistan in near future because their favt player is captain now.

With Azhar and now Captain 'Tuk Tuk' together in the ODI side its going to be a competition of who can play out as many dots as possible in a 50 over ODI format.

Pakistan will probably not even cross 200 let alone 250!!!

This ODI team is a goner its a shambles!!!

how am i mocking inzi ? He is my favourite player of all time, i am lovingly referring to his fondness for parathas, i mean who doesnt like parathas :inzi

no Azhar & Misbah will combine to bat out all the overs ensuring we don't lose wickets doesn't matter if we win or lose...that is the point of ODIs :D

Apart from Umar Akmal, Gul and Riaz we do not have anyone who can rotate the strikes and hit the shots.

The 2 games against Ireland is going to be a disaster!!!

45-0 in 20 overs

75-0 in 40 overs

110-0 in 50 overs!

Huge score to chase for the oppositions!

First of all Umar doesnt deserve no 4 because of the no of time he has thrown his wicket away...
and secondly he wont inspire anybody into playing positive cricket because batsman like Azhar , taufeeq , asad or Misbah arent capable of playing positive cricket

Stop talking you imbecile. This is a test match they are hardly going to be throwing their bat with 3 quick wickets down. I tell you what lets get them all to bat like Afridi so we can be all out by tea guaranteed. Stick to pyjama cricket if your brain can only handle simple cricket. IPL was created for numbskulls like yourself.

Umar Akmal outperformed all the batsmen in 1st test, including that of WI...he was the highest scorer in whole test match on a difficult wicket!!!

but you are right about one thing, even if Umar plays positively, he won't inspire any others because they are simply incapable...that is absolutely spot on!

Secondly, does the truth of this team hurt that much.

What good has going at less than 2 runs an over in a test match done?

Did we make 300 hell no we could not even bloody well make 200 in a test!

20 overs have gone by and they are 40 runs. How hard is it maintaining 3 or 4rpo?

Playing dot balls creates pressure, pressure results in a wicket.

And listen you piece of crap I aint asking for fours and sixes coz if I wanted that then I would be watching the IPL and not be watching this pathetic TEST team!

This is test cricket BUT even in that you do have to keep the scoreboard ticking its how it works.

Make runs, put up a total.

Build a lead and win the game!

Its that simple!

How long ago has the scoreboard remained at 40-3?
