India, Australia and other boards organise 4 day matches and ODIs for there A tour’s. Baffling to understand What is the point of playing T20s ? Play 4 day matches.

Pakistan are a T20 focused team. They're playing ~40 T20s this calendar year + World T20 so they need the practice.

Because it is the World T20 year and the village mentality led us to believe that only cricket that needs playing this year is T20s.

It's laughable when we already had the National T20, PSL is coming up and plenty of T20Is ahead to try different players.

These tours should be used to expose our youngsters to red ball cricket overseas.

Completely agree. BCCI tries level best so that younger lot stay away from T20 cricket as much as possible during development stage.Even for U19 preparation they arrange ODI or 3/4 day matches. Rest of the boards do the same.
PCBs approach is interesting

0 thought process behind this

I think there is a thought process behind it, but just one you and I don’t agree with. I don’t like it either, but it seems like they thought 2 four day games would be a good amount and they backed it up with 6 T20 games instead of ODIs since the recent tournament completed was National T20 and the upcoming two ICC events in 2021 and 2022 are T20 format.

Plus, there is more uncertainty about Pakistan’s T20 team than our ODI team.

The problem is that we wasted the first four day game by breaching the bubble restrictions, then Misbah wasted the second four day game by using it to give the seniors practice.

There needs to be a clear demarcation from the management that we want one or two practice games for the main team PLUS 2 proper four day games for the Shaheens. That’s where the issue is.

just for chest thumping for the clowns in pcb , no real intent of actually improving our cricket.
