What does the future hold for Wasim Khan after the appointment of Ramiz Raja as Chairman of PCB?

Obv pushed or even fired. I am just shocked at how blatantly obvious RR made it that WK was no longer welcome in the PCB. The DRS debacle and NZCB, ECB pulling out made WK position untenable

Without Wasim the idea of them playing in Pakistan would not have been even entertained.

Ramiz is a typical Pakistani sociopath playing power politics now and will consolidate his position regardless what happens in the boardroom. His immature tweets said it all.

Expect corruption, this mindset is a slow rot. Enoy.

Wasim Khan watches PAKvAUS Test as his vision comes to life

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan watched Day One of the third Test between Pakistan and Australia at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.

Wasim Khan, who served the PCB for three years, put in a lot of effort to revive top-level international cricket in Pakistan.

"After the tour of Australia, England and New Zealand will also tour Pakistan for sure," Wasim told eporters.

He was pleased to see the Australian team play in Pakistan as he recalled his efforts to bring the top teams back in Pakistan during his tenure.

"I am happy to see the Australian team play in Pakistan. It is an overall effort to make this series happen, everyone worked very hard for this, even I put in a lot of efforts during my time in the board." Wasim stated.

The former official of the PCB further spoke about the challenges and obstacles to inviting international teams to Pakistan.

"It took a lot of time to bring top international teams like Australia and others to Pakistan. It is very hard to convince the foreign teams on security issues. Australia committed to playing in Pakistan. It is a joyful moment to see them in action," Wasim added.

"We contacted England, New Zealand, and other teams to tour Pakistan but never contacted the Indian Cricket Board in this matter," he clarified.

"When the South Africa team toured Pakistan during my tenure, no one complained about the pitches, and results were also produced."

Meanwhile, he gave his views on the PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and the performance of the Men in Green in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

"Ramiz Raja is working hard to improve the quality of pitches in Pakistan. I am sure his vision will benefit Pakistan. His success is Pakistan's success,". he added.

"I am very happy with all the performers of the world cup, including the pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. Even when I am away in Britain, my prayers are with Pakistan," Wasim concluded.

Nothing but class. Former PCB officials and cricketers could learn a lot by watching and observing Wasim’s behaviour. Professional and respectful.

They would still complain that Wasim was paid high for his job in PCB.

This man is in a different league, a cut above the rest.

This is how professionals respond. He did his all for the NZ tour and it was misfortune of PCB and fans for what happened that day.

But PSL 2021 was managed awfully and the subsequent fiasco was handled poorly. As a CEO of PCB, he should have done better in that regard.

Wasim will no doubt be disappointed about how it ended at the PCB but he is being very professional about it and also about how others have tried to take a lot of credit for the important work he and others did whilst at PCB.

Wasim Khan is introducing the MBA program in Sports Management at LUMS. He is one of the instructors there. Awesome way to contribute to Pakistan. He should also introduce this program at IBA.

Thats good to hear.

He cannot be in two cities simultaneously. Maybe try it at LSE.

I hope sports science is also introduced at some point.
