What grades would you give current Pakistani batsmen?

I have always been thinking about what grades our current Pakistani batsman would get ,based on their skill,ability,stats and performances.I have given them following grades:

Imam ul Haq. B -
Babar Azam. A-
Haris Sohail. B
M Hafeez. B-
Sohaib Malik. B-
Sarfaraz Ahmed. C+
M Rizwan. C-
Asif Ali. C

In ODI cricket, given people like Kohli, De Villiers, Steve Smith and Williamsons of the world are A's, my ranking would be as follows:

1. Babar Azam - B+ graduating to a A- (but needs some impactful innings in pressure situations against top opponents)
2. Haris Sohail - B
3. Imam - B
4. Hafeez in the middle order - B graduating to a B+
5. Hafeez as an opener - C
6. Fakhar - B
7. Malik - B-
8. Sarfaraz - B-
9. Rizwan - C+
10. Asif Ali - C+
11. Imad - B-
12. Shadab - C-

Very poorly assessed.

Only God knows how Shoaib Malik is a B and Imad Wasim is a C. I would advise having a look at their ODI averages in England to get a clearer picture.

Secondly, Rizwan has done more than enough to prove his superiority over Sarfraz with the bat at present.

Even though Shadab is a mediocre batsman, he is not worse than Amir with the bat as per your ratings.

I would Babar as a B+. Top player but needs to perform again big teams and convert starts into match winning hundreds.

A man with a career average of 43 at a SR of 93.
Since CT17 he's been at an average of 44 with a SR of 99.

Definitely A+, only 3 or 4 better openers than him currently.

I'll do my list based more on current performance based on 2018/19 form in ODIs mostly. Which is really what matters leading up to the world cup.

1. Fakhar B- , not been very good over last year or so except Zimbabwe
2. Babar B, Not been amazing last year or so, his form has definitely dipped off
3. Imam B, In the runs but slow
4. Haris B hasn't played much but scored runs when played. Probably a bit slow, but not as bad as Imam.
5. Hafeez C+ Bad in 2018, redeemed himself a little with a good SA tour. Hasn't played much either.
6. Malik D, Just been bad.
7. Sarfraz D+, Been worse than Malik with the bat, but keeping has been decent.
8. Imad A, Scored runs at an great SR and average with the bat despite at 7, given overs with the ball. Probably biggest overall output in the team in 2018/9 period.
10. Amir- D Been awful
11. Shaheen- A Been great
12. Shadab- B+ Didn't have a good SA series but otherwise been good
13. Faheem- C
14. Hasan- C Has been poor since 2017

I think a lot of fans have over rated these players. if A is world class then B would mean they are not far behind and I don’t think we have many batsmen that are in that category


Fakhar - C: Inconsistent and has done nothing substantial of late against a non minnow team.
Imam - C : IN runs but needs work on strike rate
Babar - B- a good batsmen who will become world class over couple years.
Haris - C+ - not enough games, at the current level needs consistent performances against good teams.
Malik - D- has done nothing of late against any team.
Hafeez - C- been in good form and performed well before his injury
Sarfraz - D- again abmissal performances and has done nothing as of late
Asif - F- has never played a good innings on the international stage
Faheem - F- again Repeated failures
Shadab - C-, has played some good innings considering his batting position and helped Pakistan several times.
