You’d have to be completely clueless about cricket to say that a batter with 102 fifties and 31 centuries only had a few good knocks. Lmao, most of you are absolute clowns when it comes to talking cricket.

The vast majority of Babar's ODI centuries are against minnows or B-C teams during IPL.

In ICC/ACC events has only one century in 6 events. That is poor.

In tests again only one century vs SENA in a win. Others vs SL/Bang.

Scored 3 in 2022 in flat pitches where he got outperformed by Khawaja/Brook/Latham and didn't win a single match and actually lost two series.

One century outside Asia and that too in a lost game when the match was over.

He is an okay player made big by media hype.

Not really. He had plenty of quality knocks, and most of his centuries didn’t come against weak or B-grade teams. In one of the World Cups, he scored nearly 500 runs at an average close to 70 with a strike rate of around 90, including a century and three fifties. What other players from other teams did or did not do is none of my concern, he’s miles better than just an “okay” player. You clearly have an agenda and are doing everything you can to downplay his achievements. When he was scoring runs for fun, everyone was full of praise, and now that he’s going through a rough patch, haters like you are twisting things to suit your narrative. I don’t have time for this kind of nonsense and mental gymnastics. Carry on.

He hasn't been made big by the media. They tried to but couldn't. No player can be made big simply by media hype. Ultimately it's former players, his contemporaries, other cricket pundits and the fans who judge the value of a player.

Pakistani media tried big time to hype him and elevate him to Kohli's stature, but ultimately failed. And that's because you can't elevate a player's stature simply by media hype unless he performs on the field.​
