What's new

What is one habit from this Ramadan that you want to maintain till next Ramadan and for the rest of your life? [Accountability Thread]

@Suleiman @LordJames @BunnyRabbit @DeadlyVenom

Some very easy yet rewarding deeds:

1) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Whoever says "Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdihi" one hundred times a day, will have his sins forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea." (Source: https://sunnah.com/bukhari:6405)

2) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” (Source: https://islamqa.info/en/answers/609...enefits-of-reciting-ayatul-kursi-after-prayer).

3) There are two expressions which are very easy for the tongue to say, but they are very heavy in the balance and are very dear to Allah (SWT). These two statements are "Subhanallahi wabihamdihi" and "Subhanallahil azim". (Source: https://sunnah.com/bukhari:6406).

We enjoy talking about our faith.
Talking incessantly without tangible action ends into demotivation.

Look at this thread for example. It's devolved into cut-n-paste texts, video-dumps.

Lack of zest for days to an end. Now. Accountability is no more.

Teach us how to take tangible actions Ustadh ji. What would you like us to do on the forum?

Teach us how to take tangible actions Ustadh ji.
Learn from the "best".

The one labelled sadiq and amin. He acted that way. But you chose to worship him instead.

And now you are all caught up in this dreadful ritualistic mess of regurgitating arabic texts.

Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in Qadeer [100x]

The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “He who utters a hundred times in a day these words: (see above) he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit, hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him…” [Bukhari and Muslim]

An end of the week motivation boost for the brothers and sisters:

It is clear why the ones who revert to Islam a lot of times surpass us in terms of faith and action in the faith (ie living life through the lens of Islam) vs a lot of us who are both Muslim and take it for granted and Nauzubillah even leave it (May Allah protect us from becoming murtad)

Too many people think Islam is either sitting in a corner and doing Zikr all day and leaving the world entirely, or the other extreme that think you leave prayer, Zikr, fasting etc behind and only focus on the world.

Both are wrong. The right way is the middle path. Where you tend to your soul through religious practice like prayer, fasting, Zikr, sadaqa, etc. as well as applying the teachings of Quran and Sunnah to day to day life like finances, career, governance, education, etiquette in relationships and even passerby’s.

May Allah allow us to be grateful for being born as Muslims, may we learn from our pious revert brothers and sisters as well as all brothers and sisters in Islam regarding faith, and may our end be also in the name of Allah, whether in spiritual practice or daily affairs. Ameen.

Like who in recent times?

Name some quality converts/reverts who spring boarded islam to technological advancements.

Else it's hot air.

Dying a quick. Well deserved purge.

This accountability. One.

Lacking empirical. No further delight. Life goes on.

Ahh thanks for bumping the thread. Alhamdullilah it always makes it to the top of Time Pass around Friday before the Jummah prayers as a reminder to stay consistent, even during war times so we can In Sha Allah join the shuhada and keep to our religious duties and achieve victory whenever it arrives In Sha Allah

Clearly Islam looms large in your heart still. There’s still time. Also still time to learn how to use the word empirical in a proper sentence ♥️

Remember to read Surah Kahf brothers and sisters (reminder to myself as well) and make dua for our brothers and sisters in Pakistan, Filistin and all over this world.

May we be victorious this blessed Jummah. Ameen.

Good reminder. Ameen.

JazakAllahu khair.

Lo jee.

Dumping videos after videos. Lacking accountability.

No zest or intelligence. Just click-share laziness.

Dhul Hajj coming up!! Time flies. Who is fasting in Dhul Hajj?

May Allah make it easy for the brothers and sisters doing Hajj this year, Ameen.

Sheikh Sudais making dua for Pakistan recently @sweep_shot @DeadlyVenom @IAJ @LordJames @aboveandbeyond @The Bald Eagle

Accidentally clicked post before I could tag everyone I wanted to before the 2 mins time limit. But In Sha Allah May we all get a chance to visit their soon In Sha Allah. 🤲

Ameen. Thanks for sharing.

Shaykh Sudais is one of my favorite reciters. He has a great voice for recitation. Ma sha Allah.

I will try to fast on the Day of Arafah in sha Allah.

Ameen.

Back in 90s I was madly intersted in radioes where I could listen to Radio Pakistan and other radio stations around the world and I remember that my father used to tune into Maghrib prayers from Makkah Shareef and still remember the beautiful voice of Shaykh Sudais. 30 years on and he still has same voice and stamina, Ma sha Allah.

Regarding fasts, here in Norway a normal fast is already close to 20 hours so it will be hard to fast in Dhul Hajj, maybe try to fast on Day of Arafah in sha Allah.

Can someone confirm that this Sudais Dua is not AI generated deepfake?

This thread is lacking zest.

In light of ramzan generosity, feel free to recommence video postings and copy/pastes.

Preferably with empirical evidence. Optional though.

This thread is dying a slow death.

The excitement is no more. Sufficiently proves namaz/sawab/gunah metrics cannot be aggregated on excel sheets and thrown about as badges of honor.

Pragmatically, ramazan habits are a passing fad. Mundane. Unsustainable over large periods.
I called it.

A passing fad. Unsustainable.

First.

First.

Actually, it is quite sustainable. Not a fad for any practicing Muslim.:inti

But, sometimes intensity can go down. What's important is to keep the scoreboard ticking.

It is like an ODI innings. Sometimes there are big overs and sometimes there are maiden overs.

In your case, you are retired hurt.

Knowing your penchant for lazy video dumps, and copy/pastes of arabic texts.

Lacking even the slightest effort of personal narrations, or empirical observations. Your self-professed scores are unsubstantiated.

Nice lecture on how to be a productive Muslim:

Thanks for the share brother.

Dhul Hajj is upon us soon, time to recharge spiritually, tie any loose strings regarding where we may have fumbled since Ramadan and keep pushing.

A concocted lie this.

There's no connection of these 10 nights to "first days of haj" in quran.

barelvis do this sufficiently to fool the masses. biddah galore them.
