I believe there are some good things PCB which should be left as is. Knee jerk reaction look good on paper and get you YouTube hits but seldom get instant results.

Some suggestions:

1. Wasim Khan should NOT be removed. He is the public face of the PCB on an international level and gets us attention which another person will not in the short term.
2. Don't make any more changes to our domestic system - let it run as is for another year or so.
3. Don't tinker with the captaincy - Babar is beginning to learn- would be wrong to change this now.

Any others?

Do not reintroduce Amir into the team.

1) Shouldn't remove Wasim Khan. Let him run the business side of things.

2) No real reason to introduce Drop-in pitches.

3) Most importantly, Change the broadcasting infrastructure in Pakistan.

Drop in pitches mimicking various conditions are needed , you can evidently see how good new Zealand and Australia are with the drop ins when it comes to odi and t20s.

Pakistan needs drop in pitches that have pace and bounce where batsmen can develop their backfoot game and stroke play and shots for limited overs cricket .

Agree with #1: Wasim Khan should continue.

- Do not make Saqi or Razzaq permanent fixtures. Continue to look for foreign coache(s)

- Fully back M Wasim and not give in to the media pressure when it comes to team selection (this one is VERY important)

- Eliminate the plague of "seniority" culture in the team. There are experienced and less experienced players... No seniors or juniors

Do you know the real purpose of Drop-in pitches? It is introduced where a number of games are played at the same stadium. I am sure Pakistan isn't planning of Football and Rugby on Gaddafi Stadium.

The inability of the Pakistan pitch curators doesn't necessarily mean the solution are the drop-in pitches rather the upskilling the the curators from the bottom up.

Agree with 1 and 2 , but I think Ramiz should plan to remove Babar and replace him by Rizwan . Babar is not a captaincy material and I think he should concentrate 100% on his batting . Babar's batting is needed more than his captaincy.

Don;t listen to people apposing Amir, if he is in good form bring him back . He was only 17 when "it" happened and he has been punished more than enough for his crime . You cannot punish a person twice for the same crime.

Give precedence to dosti yari and old grudges over merit in any decision making.
It seemed very odd how only Moin and Aqib were there but no one else when they had no role as board of governers or press.
As an example, he should let Mohammad Yusuf continue at NHPC. Faheem benefited from him over the last year, maybe our openers and others can too in future.

Don't let these people close to Pakistan cricket in any role .

1-Misbah

2-Shoaib Akhtar.

3-Razzaq

4-Moin Khan

Get rid of all the deadwood (administrators & players) and bring in youngsters, provisioning them with the required resources

Why Razzaq? I think he did well with his stint as KPK coach and won trophies in all formats.
He gave chances to players from even second 11 to play in the first 11 based on the potential
He is quiet but focuses on the job and forms a good wining unit I guess unlike MisQar who had decade long as incharge yet cant build a team or a player..

Wasim is the face of PCB in intl cricket , so let him continue to bring in intl cricket and run the business side of things.

Dont interfere with his WK's job or task, just hold a healthy discussion and not look to micromanage

Stay away from Selection, concentrate on improving grass roots level, NHPC, pitches and ground, getting professionals to coach.

If yousuf is doing things right as batting coach in NHPC , please let him continue and keep your ego and grudge away for the sake of Pakistan cricket.

Walk the talk against fixers and their return to play cricket in any form.

Drop in pitches are fine , they are being followed by other boards and their cricket is moving forward, good to adapt the same looking for improvement in building skills

Leave things that are running good as it is and fix the holes, where it needs to be addressed.

I will give you the cheapest workable solution - What they should NOT do - lose to India in the wc, WHATEVER it takes.

There are more do's than don'ts which he needs to focus on.

But if there is ONE thing that he must not do, then IMO it is, do NOT hire anyone based on nepotism or political connections. Stick with merit based appointments.

But then he already broke the rule by getting Azam Khan in the team.

1. They must not lose Wasim Khan whatsoever, they need to keep him as he's done a quite competent job in charge.

2. I also agree, keep the domestic format for at least another 3-4 years to see if it is fruitful.

3. Age-fudging needs to punished and probed as it is unacceptable.

4. Continue to work on the grassroots, school, club and college level as talent needs to be provided opportunity from the smallest level.

5. Domestic coaching needs to be better and more fine-tuned. Domestic players picked into the Intl. level can not have too many flaws, like Khushdil Shah liability to play offside, Mohammad Wasim jnr foot placing when bowling and Naseem Shah with his bowling action etc.

6. NHPC needs better and more modern coaching with data driven analysis to fine tune young player and players in bad slumps like Haider Ali, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz etc.

7. Ramiz must not interfere in any selection for the national team as its not his job.

8. Please arrange some A tours for Pakistan Shaheens.

Climatic conditions will prevent you from producing pitches with pace and bounce and the ball coming on to the bat in true fashion, pakistan pitches come low and slow .

The only way is growing the pitch artificially in a greenhouse and the dropping it in , that way you can produce a pitch with correct clay content , moisture and try to mimick conditions of a hard surface

Promise the earth and fail to deliver.

Getting rid of Wasim Khan should be immediate priority.

He’s got some crazy plans on Schools+clubs

I doubt he will pull them off. But if he does, you will see some good results IA

He always talks non-sense. You give him a little bit of importance and he will come on TV and will start talking like someone drunk, a low class person indeed.

Remove Babar from LOI and make Rizwan/Imad as captain. Both has better brain and aggression than Babar. Let Babar to be captain in test for a year to see if he improves otherwise replace him with Rizwan/Hasan Ali.
Wasim Khan needs to be stayed because there is no replacement of him in Pakistan.
Needs to priority on Domestic cricket. Don't interfere in M Wasim's selection plus keep him job around 3 years. He is far better than big mouth Shoaib Akther and others.
Introduce foreign batting and fielding coaches in every domestic teams and U15 teams/U19 teams. We need batsmen.

Stay away people people like Younis/Inzi/Aaqib/Waqar/Misbah/Miandad. Make a legislation to ban them for 30 years.

Question asked is what he should NOT do?

Agree with the first two points but unfortunately Babar is not captaincy material. He's too timid and doesn't impose his presence in the game. Pakistan needs a natural leader. Rizwan would be a better option.

Question asked is what he should NOT do?

1. Then don't retain Babar as captain in LOI.
2. Don't sack M Wasim, Wasim Khan and Yousuf
3. Don't use desi fielding and batting coaches in U15-U19 and First class XI and 2nd XI.
4. Don't bring any of Moin, Latif, Miandad, Younis, Waqar, Misbah, Aaqib, Shoaib, Inzi and those useless talkative formers in PCB.

Exactly!!!! Rizwan even Hasan Ali can be better choice.

Why should Wasim Khan get an extension?

1) He botched PSL, twice. For the second consecutive year, the PSL had to be postponed because PCB failed to maintain the bubble. As CEO, it was his responsibility to ensure compliance and he failed twice.

2) He appointed Misbah in the most dubious circumstances. Misbah was part of the panel that decided Mickey’s future - it was a clear conflict of interest.

Misbah was than handed over the job before PCB advertised the role.

The coach and selector roles were combined. It was called a “necessary innovation” by Wasim. However, when Misbah struggled to balance both roles, this “necessary innovation” was scrapped.

Wasim Khan gave up on it after just one experiment. As a result, we never found out if the dual role system was the problem or if Misbah was the problem.

- Appointed Younis Khan in a mystery role. One day he was batting coach, the next day he was batting consultant, the day after he was a mentor. No one knew what he was doing and what his role was. As predicted, that experiment ended in tears.

- Botched DRS. He couldn’t convince them to employ their technology for this. As CEO, it was his responsibility to take care of if and he failed. As a result, this series will not be part of the ODI Super League.

What if Pakistan pulls a fluke and whitewashes New Zealand? They will gain nothing out of it, and will Wasim Khan take the blame for it?

He has been nothing but a disaster so far. People give him credit for convincing big teams to tour Pakistan, but the reality is that he has done nothing.

He has only capitalized on the hard work and the momentum of Sethi who is the real reason for the restoration of international cricket in Pakistan.

The baby steps that PCB took from 2015-2018 is the reason why PCB is now in a position to convince the big sides to play in Pakistan.

If I have to appraise Wasim Khan’s performance on a scale of 1-10, I would give him 3/10 at best, and I am being very generous here.

He has been a failure and has done nothing to deserve an extension.

In this, every nation has botched up atleast once, India included.

WK approached RR for a meeting and told him to tell him now if he WK is not going to be part of RR plans in the PCB going forward. RR told him that he will appraise his performance and let him know in the next two months

It is clear that RR in comparison to EM is not going to stay silent in the background and will play a more dominant, media facing role. Doubt WK will be comfortable or keen to carry on in the role in such circumstances. If he is smart, he will be making arrangements to move forward
