Here are a few choices but not exhaustive by any means.

1) Pakistan vs Aus 2010 World T20 SF - I hate to bring up this game but hard to deny what an incredible chase it was. Hussey stole the show from the jaws of defeat and our horrible run vs Australia in LOI continued. As it happened in such a high profile game and remains the first team we had lost a game after scoring 150+ - I am sure it will be the pick for most PP'ers

2) SAF vs WI 2007 World T20 - I actually never saw this game but heard a lot about it. WI piled on 205/6 thanks to a Gayle whirlwind where he became the first batsman to score a T20 hundred. However, SAF chased it down with Gibbs smashing 90 off 55 balls in only the 18th over.

3) India vs SL 2009 - I was just watching a highlight of this game on Youtube lol SL scored 206/7 in their 20 overs thanks to a blistering start by Jayasuriya and Sanga but India came out all guns blazing thanks to an amazing knock by Sehwag and supporting knocks by Dhoni and Yuvraj

4) India vs Aus 2013 - this was the only T20 of Australia's tour of India in 2013. Australia scored 201 thanks to Aaron Finch but India chased it down thanks to a blistering knock by Yuvraj Singh

5) India vs Aus 2016 - Another India vs Aus T20 game where India chased down a large total! Aus made 197/5 thanks to a Shane Watson 124 but India chased with intent thanks to 50's by Sharma and Kohli and chased it down.

6) SAF vs WI 2015 - What an amazing chase by WI - I believe it is the highest chase in T20I. SAF made 231/7 thanks to a Faf century but WI led by Gayle's 90 off 41 balls chased it down with 4 balls to spare! I was certain at the half way mark that SAF would win by a large margin but it was not to be...

7) SL vs Pakistan 2015 - This has to be our greatest ever T20I chase. Although we chased "only" 174 but consider this! We were 40/5 at one stage!! Afridi, Anwar Ali and Imad Wasim played blinders to pull off a remarkable heist and sent us to no. 2 in T20 rankings at the time.

8) SAF vs England 2016 World T20 - Again SAF are on the receiving end of a chase after posting 225+! They made 229 in their 20 overs but England chased it down thanks to Root's 44 ball 83.

9) WI vs England 2016 World T20 Final - Although WI were only chasing 158. This game was all the more remarkable due to them needing 19 off the final over before Braithwaite happened!

10) WI vs India 2016 World T20 SF - Boy the 2016 World T20 had some amazing chases for sure! India being the home favorites piled on 191/3 in their 20 overs thanks to superb knock by Kohli and some good hitting by Rohit and Rahane. WI lost an early wicket but Simmons and Charles played well for their 50s before Andre Russel finished it off with a huge 6! WI got help with two no balls but it was just meant to be!

If there were any games I missed please mention them in the comments below!

England vs South Africa last year was the greatest team chase in my opinion, an incredible effort to chase 230 against SA's bowling and fielding unit. Second place is a toss up between WI vs India last year and Australia against Pakistan in 2010.

In terms of individual innings, hard to choose between Kohli 82*, Root 83 and Hussey 60*.

Shoaib malik's heroics in Pak vs Australia in inaugural world t20 2007?

Hussey 2010

nothing comes close

That was also incredibly heartbreaking from a Pakistani fan's perspective.

Made it worse that I am also a massive Hussey fan

When we're talking about a chase, I tend to go with games that a team collectively chased the target down rather than one man's brilliance in a short space of time. Hussey and Brathwaite's effort should be categorized as one of the greatest performances in T20s but I wouldn't put those matches as the greatest chase.

For me the greatest chase is England beating South Africa in 2016 WT20. It was a superb chase from start to finish against a world class side and did not rely on a freak show.

Australia accomplished a record in 3rd T20I vs India (Australia tour of India 2023) by chasing down the highest number of runs in the final over of a men's T20I than any other team.

1. Australia
Required 21 vs India, 2023

2. West Indies
Required 19 vs England, 2016

3. Sri Lanka
Required 19 vs Australia, 2022

Aussies once chased down 240+ against New Zealand in Auckland.

That was one of the best run chases for me (in T20).

This could be the greatest chase of all time. NO??

In a thrilling cricket match, Romania set a challenging target of 168 runs in ten overs, with significant contributions from Ariyan Mohammed (104*) and Muhammad Moiz (42). Austria, needing 61 runs in the last two overs, achieved an incredible victory thanks to a stellar performance by Aqib Iqbal, who scored an unbeaten 72 off just 19 balls. Despite a disastrous bowling performance from Romania’s Manmeet Koli, who conceded 57 runs in two overs, Austria managed to secure the win with four balls to spare, with key contributions from Imran Asif (22*) and Karanbir Singh (30).

That chase Kohli did in the 2021 World Cup... it was something unbeliebele from which position they won that game.

There was a tri-series in New Zealand. It was among England, Australia, and New Zealand.

In one game, NZ scored like 240. Aussies chased it down. That was the best T20I run chase I have ever witnessed.

Ground was Auckland. So, shorter boundary.

These associate teams are making mockery of the game. These records should not be included in internationals.

Nepal's Dipendra scored 10 ball fifty, hit 6 sixes in an over against Mongolia, but he was clueless against Mustafizur. Mustafizur bowled him in 19th over while chasing but Dipendra was unable to touch a single ball.
19th over was maiden, can you imagine 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep. These associate games are a total joke. ICC should not be considering them serious enough for record books. Yeah. 12 ball 60 is not impossible but not every day you see something like this happening like in the case of associate nation games.

It is like you are running alone and winning the race.

my favorite greatest chase of all time
is west indies chasing 193 in semi final of 2016 T20 WC against india

Lendl Simmon and Andre Russel
most entertaining knock of all time

India vs Pakistan 2022 MCG . Haris Rauf firing breath .28 requires 8 balls. Big MCG ground and Kohli comes out the ground and goes down the ground .

I am guessing the Hussey heist would have hurt the Pakistan fans much more because they would have been in the final and they were a top contender so basically that was like losing the cup. Ajmal was unstoppable back then.

2016 Ind vs BD, Bangalore

2 runs off 3 balls with M&M at the crease, Mushfiqur screaming in thr face of Hardik

Then the 3 Ms collectively and individually lost their bottle

Oh sorry is it the chase you meant, I misread it as choke :shakib
That's the greatest bottle job in the history of cricket and celebrating too early. :ROFLMAO:
and you missed the classic MSD running out at the last ball.

Hussy chase against Saeed Ajmal was also one to remember. He smashed the best bowler like a nobody.
