Who will PCB now appoint as PCB CE?

Is the post of CE actually needed now?

Will they be able to fill the void that Wasim will leave especially when it comes to connections with other Boards?

Will PCB be better off without Wasim Khan?

Plenty to discuss.

Apparently RR wants to do away with the CEO post and assume the CEO powers himself. He wants to create a position Director of Cricket

The CEO position for PCB should have never been invented in the first place.

This was invented to give the two sycophants, Mani and Wasim, executive roles at the same time and it clearly didn’t produce any results.

It proved to be a waste of money and resources.

We need a confident, strong chairman who can take matters in his own hands. Ramiz can be that man.

Mani did nothing but hide behind Wasim.

Lol this opinion will change the moment RR starts taking swipes against the BCCI

PCB will be cornered by the Haroon Rashids and Shakeel Sheikhs once again.

Wasim carried zero baggage and did not have allegiances which is something an administrator needs to survive in Pakistan cricket.

He cut off kickbacks and sent the leeches packing which irked the status quo as they had been leeching off PCB for years. Ramiz' lobbied his way into contention and then successfully into the chairman post because he was part of that status quo.

People forget that Ramiz too carries a fair amount of baggage and will dance to the tunes of others because he has skeletons in his closet as well.

PCB is one of the largest money making institutions i believe in Pakistan.
Looking from outside, had never understood the amount of politics impaling Pakistan cricket.
But seeing the tenures of Misbah and then selections of Azam Khan for T20 WC, looks like there are lot of cogs who want to set their own wheels in motion.
No stability for the players to focus on, and results reflect that.
Selection of Azam Khan is pure travesty and sheer nepotism.

Cronyism and nepotism is entranced at all levels. Beginning all the way down from local cricket associations. That's what happens when you have a weak board and a system with lack of structure. And the one person who was trying to change that, has been sent packing.

Yet another reminder that competent and professional individuals cannot change Pakistan (no matter what people say) if the system is utterly rotten and corrupt.

Given all that, Kudos to Pakistan team for winning tournaments like CT and Test Matches.
Have to give these players some credit. Nothing is done by PCB to empower them to play good cricket.

Big loss for PCB, it needed a person like Wasim Khan with western work ethics and professionalism, hard to replace him. His appointment was one of the few better things done by Mani.

Him and Raja could have made a great team , but it not to be .

Life goes on, I still have big hopes from RR, only time will tell.

Like IK, looks like Ramiz is also realizing the harsh fact that thanks to corrupt rulers of Pakistan over last 50-60 years , corruption has become a way of life in Pakistan and if he has to move forward, has to work with people who are "little bit " corrupt , like Moin Khan .

Politics in Pak Cricket is a problem itself. The whole thing is a mess.

He is done everything right apart from Misbah and Waqar appointment.

I think the role of CE and Chairman may be combined.

The key is who Ramiz has around him as advisors.

Interesting times ahead.

It’s laughable that you think Ramiz can be that man. If you follow Ramiz you’ll know he’s fluid as hell. He will change what he says in a heartbeat because he’s got a way with words. The fact that you discard Wasim Khan based on his stubbornness to stick to his ways his laughable. Pakistanis don’t know shi* about the world nor do they have the discipline to let things play their course. Ramiz is a good spokesman and well versed in convincing foreigners. But he brings nothing else to the table. Maybe you’re just obsessed with his fancy vocabulary because he brings nothing else to this role.

I understand your frustration with the jaahil awaam of Pakistan but call a spade, a spade mamoon. You’ve lost your touch. Immensely.

We'll return to same old from the last 30 years that has Pakistan in such a mediocre position in world cricket.

Media reports say that Former Zimbabwe cricket official Faisal Hasnain may become the next CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board after the post fell vacant when Wasim Khan resigned.
