He is a hack who doesn't know what to do when he comes to the pitch anytime before the 40th over, i would rather take rahul as the reserve batsman to the worldcup if he shows he has gotten over his rough patch vs australia.

The ODI team announced today will likely be the team going to the WC. I don't understand why they opted for Rahul over DK when DK has done well recently being under a lot of pressure. But Rahul is favorite of Virats and they are good buddies so probably got the nod. Another thing I don't understand is the love that Virag and Ravi have for Vijay Shankar. He's a good batsman but I think you can do better than him. Kedar and Vijay really don't make sense at #6. The best match winner for India at #6 will likely be Pant but they want Kedar or Vijay in at 6 because they can bowl.

It's also pretty clear that they will be going to England with on 3 fast bowlers. It makes sense because the Playing XI will only have 2 fast bowlers and Pandya will be the 3rd. Shami is ahead of Bhuvi for a spot in the XI.

Dhawan's recent struggles could be another reason they want to take Rahul as a backup opener. He really hasn't done well in ODIs recently.
