What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

You're quite into your fitness, how do you eat your tuna? What with, what seasonings etc?

I usually make it do with hot sauce and salsa. Some people prefer eating it with barbecue sauce instead, you can try it if you want but I don't fancy the barbecue sauce too much.

Bro I go to Gold's Gym too! :shezzy

Do you eat it with rice/pasta etc or something else?

What's the point of going there if you don't know how the machines work? :asif

I'm just kidding, I'm sure you saw it coming.
Naa naa I know how they work now. Plus I do bench press regularly too. Squats and deadlifts in still a bit embarrassed to them because my form isn't great so I don't lift heavy.

Yes, don't do any deadlifting until you're absolutely sure that you can do it properly. I learned it the hard way.

Why not ask one of the guys nearby to evaluate your form?

tried the grenade carb killa white chocolate cookie spread. Delicious :)

I do deadlifts but not too heavy. Only like 50 pounds lol. A couple of my friends have helped me so i'm getting better. Right now I'm a bit slow and jerky so with practice I will get more flow.

Held a dinner party recently and Afghan charsi lamb was one of the dishes put out. Don't think I had tried that too many times before, it's yummy :)

Went to a Persian restaurant in London. Starters were some flatbread, hummus and other dip.

Main course: Rice, vegetables and meat platter. Persian food is simple but delicious if cooked right. Also, the waiter looked like Sohail Tanvir's long lost twin :)

A large garlic margarita pizza, shouldn't really be eating this but I've got no time to cook because of exams. Miss my mums cooking.

had chicken jalfrezi last night, home made obviously as healthier.

Last night had brown rice with chicken breast which was in a curry with vegetables.

Yo isn't hummus Arab?

Chicken Chargha last night, that's one of my favourite foods :).

Today for lunch I had something different. Opened a can of tuna, chucked in some mayo, some kidney beans, some olives + jalapenos and some more seasonings eg peri salt, pepper etc. Had that as a topping for my jacket (sweet) potato.

Chicken biryani (cooked by my mom) with chicken 65, raita, coconut mint chutney and achaar. Spicy and delicious!

Thursday night had channa/kidney bean pulao with roast chicken legs. Delicious.

Dinner few hours ago, hari (green) chicken :)

Some hyderabadi biriyani and these on the side :

Making the most of this food before I go back to Uni and go back on pasta daily

bro how will you eat so many carbs?

I'm working out by lifting weights and am trying to put on muscle. I am quite a hard gainer (though not a typical skinny hard gainer) so am aiming for about 3200 calories a day.

nice, I would get sick of eating pasta that often, do you know how to cook desi foods?

I don't but mum does. I'm back home from Uni but going back on Thursday so will miss that, but she will make some and I can freeze them when I get to Uni I guess

Boiled some brown rice and added kidney beans and chickpeas.

Also had some dahl, a couple of pieces of chicken and a boiled egg.

Had some low fat yogurt and vegetables on the side.

Went to a western style Mediterranean restaurant today with a friend. Had their "Steak Kabob", was pretty decent surprisingly. Thought it would be bland but it wasn't bad. With pilaf rice and white beans.

Then tried a new protein shake today that my roommate left when he moved out. It's soy based and has a very strong taste.

Last night had home made burgers made with lean beef mince

Lunch, wrap with hummus, cheese, spinach + lettuce + cucumber, and some grilled patties/kebabs

Grenada carb killa protein bars are amazing Abdul you ever tried those?

Nope. I'll try looking for them next time I visit Costco.

They really taste great but are pretty expensive, I only tend to buy them when there's deals and when I do I only save them for a day where I really feel I'll struggle to get my calories in, let's say if I'm travelling for a day such as yesterday as I was coming back to university so couldn't be bothered to cook so ate the one bar in my fridge that I bought like last month.

Mum made lots of food for me to freeze and take to uni. One dish was chicken do pyaza. Weird name but nice dish.
