After fish you having milk product like lassi !
learned in the last few years that this is a myth in South Asia. I used to believe it too.

In reality there’s no harm in drinking milk or milk based foods after fish that I’m aware of.

There’s literal dishes in Thailand of fish made in coconut milk and in western countries where fish is made with cream etc.

Yes. :inti

I think milk is a great way to finish any meal. I normally have milk after my dinner.

I drink a lot of milk. Half a litre per day. Used to have 1 litre daily.
Possibly you are used to it , but most people will say this is not right combination to have,

Yes , Thai fish is made like that , but I do not know about others , but after fish or meat or a kind of meal I would not have lassi . The maximum I can have is lemonade or something like coffee or tea.

Personally I agree. It’s pretty heavy lol as far as milk based things go.

Unless it is ice cream or nice cold kulfi- beautiful follow up to a warm nihari or fish curry in summer time.

Yes. I am used to with finishing my meal with ice cold milk (warm milk if it is winter).

I do that for over a decade.

I think I consume around 200 litres of milk/lassi yearly (around half a litre of milk daily).

Those fall under dessert category , what I meant was milk drinks.

Though some people drink warm Milk before sleeping , but its like who have dinner early and after couple of hours

I like authentic lassi , made in an authentic way by blending with a hand held stick. In summer salty lassi ( jhanch ) is also very good.

I see.

Never tried salty lassi but I have tried Turkish ayran drink (which is like salty milk).

Meatball Marinara Sub from Subway.

Yes I had it first thing in the morning..don't judge me.

Do you guys have halal Subway over there?

I can't have meatball marinara sub here. Subway here doesn't have halal meat.
Yes bro we have Halal version of most things.

All the major chains have halal version, main exception is McDonald and Burger King but the Muslim owned burger places are better than these places anyway.

Btw they have a "vegan" meatball marinara, I tried it a few times when I was travelling and there was no halal. It was pretty good, if you have it its worth a try even if you are not vegan.

I see. Nice.

I also do not visit McDonald's or Burger King for burger. There are many other better burger joints (halal).

I rarely visit Subway. I mostly visit halal burger joints, shawarma stores, Mexican stores, Middle Eastern stores, and biryani places.

If I visit Subway, I generally order a tuna footlong.

Just ordered a 14 oz juicy medium-well beef steak (New York strip steak) with mashed potato and sauteed vegetables. :inti

Nice.

Bhelpuri is called "chanachur" in Bangladesh.

That rice puff snack is called "jhalmuri". It is basically puffed rice mixed with various spices --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jhalmuri.

Rice with spicy fish curry.

Peanut butter ice cream. Never had this flavor before until recently. It tastes good.

Had a big lunch. Alhamdulillah.

  • Rice + beef + karela (type of veggie) + 2 fried eggs
  • Jackfruit
  • Peanut butter ice cream
  • Milk
  • Coffee.

:inti

Afghan food ---> rice, chicken kebabs, and salad.

Caribbean drink (pineapple ginger juice). Never drunk this before. It tastes good. :inti

Had beef biryani after a long time.

Have always thought chicken biryani was the best version.

But after today I am reconsidering my stance. Not sure where I stand.

Feel like Batista when he had to choose between Smackdown or Raw after winning the Rumble for the first time @shaz619

Beef = RAW.

Chicken = Smackdown.

:inti

Nice. I like to drink it sometimes but I prefer iced tea more. :inti

Did you drink iced black coffee or iced regular coffee?
Can’t even remember the last time I had iced coffee from outside.

Been making it myself for months. Found the best ratio of ice to milk to coffee.

It’s regular but with protein powder so I don’t have to eat for next few hours

Never tried iced coffee with protein powder. Want to try it. :inti

Shrimp burrito bowl from a local Mexican store.

Mexican drink ---> Jarritos (lime flavor).

Big mug of cold Milo (made with milk).

:inti

I had some delicious beef biryani. :inti

Also, a cheddar cheese bagel.

Coffee.

I had this meal when England and India were having a tea break. England needed 1 wicket. India needed 30 runs.

After I finished my meal, I found out England won. :inti

Fittingly, I enjoyed some delicious beef biryani right before enjoying an Indian defeat.
