What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

Oh. Health reason? :inti

I generally finish my dinner with a cup of milk. I sometimes do that for lunch too.
I just searched again, it says ok to drink cold milk so fine I guess.

===
Drinking milk right after dinner is generally acceptable and can even provide nutritional benefits, but there are some considerations:

Milk is considered a meal in itself and can be consumed with or after meals without needing to wait, as milk adds extra protein and calcium to your diet.

Some sources suggest it's better to wait about 30 minutes to an hour after dinner before drinking hot milk to allow proper digestion and avoid potential indigestion or discomfort

I see. Thanks.

It is now summer here. So, I now drink cold milk.

I drink hot milk during winter months.

One cheddar cheese bagel with garlic cream cheese on top.

Hot lentil soup mixed with lime.

Yogurt.

If this man sets foot in India, cows going extinct in the whole country and kumars won’t be able to stop his 3x a day beef diet regime.

I was thinking today how many cows there were in India.

There are around 145-million cows in India (as per Google).

If each cow produces 500 pounds of meat, that's 72.5-billion pounds of beef available in India. :inti

Looks like your have given up on your weight 🤣🤣

LOL.

Bro, I lost 4 pounds. :inti

I have been doing 14-16 hours of intermittent fasting daily and 40-45 minutes of cardio daily. I lost 4 pounds since June 11. I was 204 pounds and I am now 200 pounds.

I probably could've lost more weight if my diet was cleaner.

Dude just do the carnivore diet for a while.

Literally the best diet. Steaks galore. Beef, Chicken, Fish are the healthiest and most delicious diets on the planet.

Thanks.

I have never tried carnivore diet but I tried keto diet. Keto gave me good results but I couldn't continue it (it was too extreme for me).

I think I may try a low-carb, high-protein, and high-fat (healthy fat) diet. But, it is hard because I am surrounded by delicious foods. It is like a juicy full-toss. :inti

I didnt recommend keto to you though?

I said you can have anything as long as it is not processed.

I tried keto a few years ago. Not recently.

Anyway, found keto very extreme. I gave up after 15-20 days.
Well its always been about calories in vs Calories out. Doesn't matter what you eat.

Problem is processed food contains extra empty calories

Also to lose weight you have to feel hungry a litrle bit. No way to cheat your body, your body will know when it is in a deficit and trigger hunger signals.

When I wanna shed a few pounds I have breakfast and lunch and skip dinner

I see. Thanks.

I follow this one guy. His name is Jason Fung. He is a doctor based in Toronto. He has a big YouTube channel.

He said "calorie in vs calorie out" doesn't work because of metabolism variance. He recommended intermittent fasting for weight loss.

I am personally seeing results with IF. Only method that has helped me to lose weight. I also combine daily cardio with it.

Youre metabolism slows down yes but thats why exercise is important as well.

The more you exercise and the more you work the more amount of calories you will need to avoid going into starvation mode

The issue with calorie counting is that people assume 2000 calorie is the limit lol.

I never said calorie count, but you do have to switch lifestyle habits and keep fast food down to once a week

Yes. I do cardio regularly. I try to get 200-250 minutes of cardio weekly. I did 211 minutes of cardio this week.

I want to keep on doing intermittent fasting regularly and cardio regularly. Not sure if I can clean up my diet but I want to keep it in check as much as I can.

Had a chicken shawarma wrap.

Borhani (yogurt-based Bangladeshi drink; it is similar to salty lassi).

:inti

Had a Greek sweet snack called "loukoumades". It is pretty nice. Never tried it before. :inti

Strawberry and watermelon smoothie.

Milk.

Its actually Arabic and mentioned in Alf Laylah wa-Laylah

Luqma as in morsel.

The Turks adopted it from Arabs and became widespread in the Ottoman empire and from there to Greek areas under Ottoman rule, here is the Turkish version

Yeah. I have been wanting to return to lifting but I have been procrastinating. Thanks for the suggestion.

I used to hit the gym regularly during 2009-2014 period and also right before covid. After covid, I stopped going to gym or lifting. Anyway, I have been doing regular cardio for the past 1 year.

Just start small and your muscle memory will kick back in no time.

Even if it’s just the pure bodybuilding exercises like curls and tricep pushdowns.

Most people never see results because they don’t eat enough / eat enough protein. But that’s a non issue for you at this point without even trying. Best to take advantage 👍

Kachhi beef biryani (this biryani's origin goes back to Mughal Empire). It is popular in Bangladesh. :inti

Borhani (yogurt-based Bangladeshi drink; tastes like salty lassi with additional spices).

@Suleiman

Pilau is also not an Indian dish and it is Persian/Turkic as the name suggests and imported into India by Muslims...just like Kebab.

In Bangladesh, kebab is called kabab and pilao is called polao.

Some of the Bangladeshi dishes have Mughal origins. For example, mughlai paratha. It is fully Mughal in origin.

Paratha + chicken curry.

Medjool dates.

Saag (straight from our backyard).

A mug of ice cold Milo (made with milk).

:inti

4 fried chicken pieces (2 thighs + 2 drumsticks) with a large garlic sauce.

Lemon lime soda.

That's my dinner. :inti
